KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

Vaulter Magazine recently reposted an image that prominently featured a confederate flag. It was offensive, divisive, and absolutely unacceptable to post or share. So I took to Instagram and voiced my opinion. As members and leaders we have an obligation to stand up for what is right. So I did. Simple, right? They take the post down, apologize, and we all move on. But that’s not what happened.

WOMXN RUN THE VOTE: LFG

This community has shown up big time. We maxed out the relay with 10,000 registrants - phenomenal! 10,000 racers will make this race bigger than 82% of US municipalities. That’s incredible! To date, we have collectively raised over $260,000 for Black Voters Matter, smashing our stretch goal of $250,000!!

RUNNING THROUGH TRANSITION

RUNNING THROUGH TRANSITION

On March 24th, 2019, I found myself in Dodger Stadium, waiting for the Los Angeles Marathon to start. Despite the nervous energy of the thousands of runners around me, I felt a sense of calm. There was no question of whether I would finish and no pressure of a goal time. I was in the exact right place. I had once again run my way back to myself.

Haute Volée marathoner Carrie Mack has had to continually re-adjust to what 2020 has thrown at her. From a broken toe just weeks before the marathon Olympic Trials, to an empty race calendar after a great training block, she's been game to just "be in the moment." THE RISK OF A SMOKY RUN

THE RISK OF A SMOKY RUN

Currently, some of the worst fires in history are running through the west, from California to Colorado. Likely, if you're anywhere west of the Mississippi you're feeling the effects and perhaps you're wondering "Is it really that much worse to run in the smoke than hike or walk?", at least Dr. Taisa Kushner was. So, she did some research and provided us with a synopsis of her findings.

2008 VS. 2020: ELECTION #FLYSTYLE

"I might have blacked out in 2008. It was Oiselle’s second year in business, when I took out a second mortgage on our home, and put my children to work mailing sports bras to folks I met on the internet."

WHY BLACK VOTERS MATTER

Oiselle and Run 4 All Women are overjoyed with the enthusiasm for our recently launched Womxn Run the Vote Relay. Why did we choose to partner with Black Voters Matter? Simply put, the organization is the epitome of effective grassroots organizing. Black Voters Matter is dedicated to increasing power in marginalized, predominantly Black communities.

A SCIENTIFIC LOOK AT THE GAITER CONTROVERSY

A SCIENTIFIC LOOK AT THE GAITER CONTROVERSY

There’s been a dust up in the running world about the recent study from Duke University looking at the effectiveness of gaiters as a protective garment in the era of Covid, so we reached out to our very own researcher and Volée member Dr. Taisa, author of author of "Running and the Science of Mask Wearing" that became a favorited and popular blog for the running community.
