Tights for all the heights! These are the petite tights in our petite-regular-long tights line-up. Named after Oiselle Staffer, Ally, they're specifically designed for women of petite stature - but big personalities! They use our Plya™ Interlock fabric which is both lightweight and compressive. Side pockets and pintuck detailing make them the every day tights for any run, any workout, and daily pursuit.
- Plya Interlock fabric (polyester / spandex)
- interior drawcord
- pintuck details at ankle
- rear zip pocket
- two side leg pockets
- 23.5" inseam
I'm 5'4", 140lbs and ordered size 6. They fit, maybe a little on the big side but not enough to size down. The waist is VERY high rise (way above my belly button). I'm personally not a fan of the fabric. It is on the thinner side, not very compressive, and a little slippery/shiny. I prefer the fabric used in the triple threat tights.
I'm 5'1, 125-130lbs. I ordered a 4, but could probably size down to a 2 in these if it weren't for the ridiculously high waistband. (I generally wear a 25 or 26 petite in jeans, xs or size 2 in patagonia, xs petite in athleta, and a small in janji for more helpful reference than weight.) I have longish legs for my height, which means I have a shortish torso for my height. The top of these leggings come a solid 2 inches above my belly button/natural waist and cover my lowest rib...maybe the two lowest ribs. It's very awkward looking. I would think that since they're the only pair of tights oiselle makes for shorter people, they'd adjust the rise accordingly, but apparently it's just a shorter inseam. I didn't want to deal with a return, especially since I bought them on sale, so I just fold the waistband in half to make them a normal high rise. Unfortunately, this makes the pocket more or less unusable. I won't wear them to run in anyway, since the waist is kind of loose and would probably slide down.
Love these tights. They are a perfect full length for me (5’1”) without any bunching or gaping at the ankle. I wear a size 4 in other Oiselle products (e.g. pocket joggers) and found these true to size. I also love love love the zip pocket across the back waistband that allows me to stash my phone on my run without any bouncing or sagging. I hope these return for next season without any changes - they are perfect as is.
I am 5’5 and my weight fluctuates these days between 123-128. I originally ordered a 6 because that is what I wear in Lululemon.
The 6 was way too big. I did an exchange for a 4. The 4 is a good fit but there is a little extra fabric in the front but I wouldn't size down because I think the 2 would be too small everywhere else.
The material is excellent quality, I love the pockets, and adore the fine detail at the bottom of the legging.
Overall I would buy these again!
I really wish the fit on these was better and more consistent with other styles. I have a few other pairs of Oiselle tights that are 4’s and they never budge. I could probably size down to a 2 but prefer not to have my waist/breathing feeling restricted for hard track workouts. I stuck with a size 4 since these were supposed to be made for petite (I’m 5’4”) and based off of majority of the reviews. They are way too big in the waist (gapping in my back) and crawl down terribly the one time I ran in them. Saggy in the crotch too for a tight.
They aren’t all bad, great pockets and material is great. But I won’t be able to use these and will probably end up selling since I can’t return.
Love these tights! Interestingly enough I don't find them high-waisted like other people mentioned. I'm not a find of the O high waisted tights, so these have been great to add into the rotation
I bought these because they're supposed to be high-waisted. However, once I start running they immediately slide down below my belly button. Waste of money. I will stick to Old Navy leggings instead.
I love the fit (yay tights for my height!) and overall fit of these tights. As some others have noted, though, the combination of high and tight waist can become uncomfortable over time. Thankfully, I haven’t had issues with these sagging as with so many tights (perhaps it’s that high, tight waist ...). I also find them ideal for warmer Wisconsin winter days (28-34 deg F or so).
