This material is the absolute best! However, I am not a fan of the new fit of this shirt—it is much tighter around the trunk in a way that is not very flattering. I loved the fit of this top in the early flyout models! Would love to get the old sizing back, or create a bit more looseness in the trunk.
I have a size 12 in this shirt that I bought a few years ago. It is my absolutely favorite hiking, biking and all around outdoors shirt. Unfortunately they changed the sizing and now it's too tight across the bust. The size 14 is too big everywhere else. I'm a DD cup - why can't anyone make a shirt that fits people like me?
I own about 5 of these shirts, in a mix of sizes from 12 to 14, and each one fits differently. I just ordered a new color in a size 14, and was super bummed about the fit; it’s far tighter than the other sizes I own that are smaller (size 12) — see photos. This is one of my all time favorites for layering in winter and for hot days in summer, but the consistent inconsistent sizing is not awesome. At this point, I’m not sure what size would actually work.
The flyout line is my absolute favorite all seasons running top. It makes a great base layer for winter months and keeps you cool during the hot summers. The fabric is very durable and will last for years after many washes. The fit is so comfortable and lightweight. If you like your tops a little loose, I recommend sizing up one size. If you like them more fitted, stick to your regular size. Highly recommend.
Positives: Lightweight, feels cooling, pretty color
Negatives: I wore this shirt one time, and the fabric had pulled in several places. I was really looking forward to making this my summer go-to shirt, but now it’s going to the bottom of the pile. It just doesn’t look good. This item is not worth it for the price paid.
Big flyout fan in general -- the fabric is AMAZING and the design has been tweaked each season (although I miss the OG tulip hem. So good.) This one, you'll definitely want to size up in, but overall, it's a great versatile top for all kinds of weather (and especially on sale, a great deal!).
i love this as a lightweight shirt that goes well with a running vest to avoid shoulder chafing but is comfortable also as a base layer. runs smaller than other Oiselle products, I have most Oiselle products in 2 for both bottoms and tops but got a 4 in this one
I like the light weight and sweat wicking property of this fabric. The shirt runs a little shorter in the torso than other tops. I’ll probably order one size up next time but worry that it will be wider in the chest and waist than I like.
