LONG FLYTE SHORTS
Long Flyte Shorts offer compression, coverage, and simplicity. These babies have the same wide knit waistband construction as the Flyte Shorts, but with a longer inseam. Designed to be worn as shorts, but easily wearable under other layers, Long Flyte Shorts are the ideal seamless style. Our classic bird flock adds a bit of branding - and bird levity!
- Arque™ Compression (polyester/nylon/elastane)
- seamless compression short
- wicking + anti-odor treatment
- bird + oiselle graphic knit at right side of leg
- 5" inseam (all sizes)
I received these as a gift. I never wore any oiselle clothing before, so I had no expectations. My immediate impression was that they felt exactly like a pair of Jockey slip shorts I used to own, which is much different than what I expected from a pair of running shorts. Nevertheless I tried them while do a HIIT workout and they mostly stayed in place (I had to pull up the waistband a few times) and the moisture wicking seemed to do its job. I'm 5'2" normally size 6 with a mom belly, so I like the high waistband and slight compression of these shorts. Overall I'd recommend these if you're looking for a pair of workout shorts that won't move around too much.
I bought my first pair of long Flyte shorts last year. They were WONDERFUL. They were, in fact so wonderful that I promptly bought two more pairs. When it's hot, they feel like nothing. The waist band is perfect and the legs don't squeeze. I bought two pairs of this years version and they just aren't as wonderful. The non-squeezing waist and legs are still perfect and the fabric is too, but they are shorter in the waist. They fit a big lower on my hips and I just don't love them.
Oiselle: fix this. Please. The long Flyte shorts were perfect and now they just don't fit right.
On first impression, these shorts seem great! They're soft, comfortable, feel like they won't ride up when I take them for a run. The lapis color is beautiful. I just wish they came in more sizes. I'm usually a 4, sometimes a 2 in O bottoms. The small in these "fits" and looks fine, but feels loose in the waist. They definitely don't have the compressive feel I would expect from shorts like this.
These shorts are the best! They don't ride up, not too short, don't muffin top you, and are cool enough to wear inside on the treadmill. The only thing better would be cool colors but at least they are not pink.
These are the absolute greatest running shorts. The seamless finish mixed with fitted yet not compressing fit around the legs and waistband are what make them the greatest shorts. I have an athletic build and my legs are very strong (thigh gap is not a thing) and have always had issues with chaffing in any shorts for long runs. Come the long flyte and no more chaffing!! I have been running in them for 6+ years now and have 5 pairs. After all the years still with an exceptional fit and feel during my runs. Only issue is I am all the way in Miami, FL and wish there was a vendor close by (please come to Miami!).
I’ve worn these so much I’ve split the inseam, but not before I got in 8 solid years of sweat and smiles - seems like a good investment to me! Love the mid/long length, right balance of give and support, and light enough for midwestern humidity. PS My prepartum and postpartum running body equally appreciated these shorts.. At 5’4 I ordered the medium - can I please have the cool colors that the regular flyte shorts come in?
My legs are strong, but they're the part of me I'm self conscious about so I've always resisted shorts for either fashion or athletic clothes and gone with knee length or longer. These are amazing though!! The fabric and fit works in such a way that it's like wearing nothing, except without any feeling of not being publicly presentable LoL I hope Oiselle tries this fabric in full length leggings - would love some for fall/mild winter days when I like leggings more for the dry scratchy grass coverage on trails than for added warmth!
I love these shorts so much. I’m tall with larger thighs and have trouble finding shorts that won’t make me chafe, and these are my solution. I wear them almost every summer run and they sometimes ride up a bit, but never enough to be annoying, chafe, or make me feel like I need to tug them down. Also, once they find their spot even if they do ride up a bit, they stay put. They are so light and feel so good even when it’s very hot. They only have one flaw — PLEASE give us a pocket! Just one pocket! Don’t change a thing except one, single pocket. I can’t wear these on long runs because there’s nowhere to store a gel or even put a key. Short runs I just tie a key to a shoe and pray it doesn’t fall off. If these had pockets, I would buy a dozen pairs. Twenty pairs. Even so, though, can’t recommend these shorts enough.
