TOOLBELT ROGA SHORTS
Pockets on pockets. The original offshoot of the Roga that gave you more storage. Now, that storage is next level with our new 360 Pocket waistband design that combines the security and comfort of a rear zip pocket (for valuables) with the accessibility of an open-edge power mesh pocket everywhere else (for gels, lip balm or what have you) to create the best stow and go running shorts. Whether it’s a long training run, a remote ultra, or just the need to carry all the things, Toolbelt IS the sharpest tool in the shed.

I love these toolbelt Rogas- they are flattering, comfortable and hit just right! The only reason I took out a star is the front “toolbelt” portion is open without a zipper. I stashed my phone in the back but I prefer to run with it in the front to minimize bounce. I wouldn’t feel comfortable putting anything really into the mesh pockets except gels, etc. for fear they might fall out. Overall a great short, though!
I ordered a pair of these shorts and have decided they are the perfect running shorts. Stalking the website waiting impatiently for more to be added! (Hint)
I strictly run ultras and so pockets are pretty handy no matter how close together aid stations are. I absolutely loved the color on the floral prints and have been looking for a replacement to some shorts that I have (multiple pairs of, from a major athletic company) that have four pockets. Sadly, these weren’t it for me. I ordered a 6, which is fine in my older shorts (although the 2019 summer rogas are also big), and they felt HUGE. Like the elastic wasn’t stretching at all huge and as I walked around looking in the mirror they were poofy and sort of sliding around my waist. I compared them to an older pair of normal rogas, and they were 1.5 inches wider laying flat (so 3~ inches bigger around). I didn’t bother swapping them for a 4 with my summer 100 canceled but learn from my mistake!
I’m sure I’d be putting up with all kinds of ridiculousness if it wasn’t for these shorts. I kinda consider them an investment in my sanity. 😆 First: they comfortably fit my phone 2nd: multiple extra pockets that allow for easy, organized gel/bar access during long trail runs 3rd: don’t constrict my thighs, but also not super baggy/loose 4th: provide enough coverage and comfort to NOT RIDE UP and help prevent chafing, but style-wise not be too long 5th: look good enough/be comfortable enough to wear just bumming around 6th: great colors/patterns to choose from. Yup, Toolbelt Rogas check ALL of the above. Have in black, navy (older version), blaze orange (older version), and white with grey cloud pattern...and bonus: I’ve gotten 3 out of my 4 pairs during a sale OR sale on sale...just need the crimson and my collection is complete 🙌
There is a reason these shorts always sell out quickly--they fit perfectly (not too tight/loose) and have ample, functional pockets! I have two pairs of Rogas and two pairs of Toolbelt Rogas that I alternate throughout the week. The cut is flattering and offers the right amount of coverage. Plus, the fabric is soft and light for warmer days. I'm 5'3" and 120 pounds (4.75 months postpartum) and fit comfortably in a size 2.
These shorts are amazing! Feels like nothing is there, but offers enough coverage to be comfortable. Very light weight. My iPhone 6 fits in the back pocket and I keep my key in the smaller side pocket- it is awesome to not need a running belt for those shorter runs when you don't need to carry hydration! It took a little while to get the correct size. This was my first Oiselle purchase so I used the sizing chart. I measured at a size 6 (which is usually not my size, but I went with it since I've never tried on this brand before). They were pretty big on me, so then I ordered the 4 and the 2. The 4 was comfortable as an every day short, just a little extra material in the front area. I went with the 2 because I bought these for running and they fit me the best! So with a bit of trial and error (due to having to shop online versus going into the store), I ended up with an awesome pair of running shorts. I will likely buy another pair! (For reference: I am 125lbs and 5'5")
I'm extremely picky and I've been looking for shorts with ample pockets to store gels for long training runs that are not full compression. I ordered these despite feeling they were a bit pricey but would now pay more and will in fact be purchasing another pair. I LOVE these...the fit, the pockets, the fabric...everything. I’ve been a runner since I was 14 (I’m now 43) and I’ve worn a lot of different shorts over the years. These are my favorite shorts of all time and I even wear them when I’m not running as they are so stinking comfortable. Buy them. Buy lots of them.
Love them. I have the Crimsom and Grounded colors. They work wonderfully for carrying phone and other items. Highly recommend these shorts for long runs.
