Aviary Shorts - Final Sale

No issues aside from the fact that these run big. I got my usual size 4 and they still fit but the waistband looks funny if I’m not wearing a longer top that hides it

Wore the dots pattern a lot last summer while out running errands, etc

The color is cute but it is not white, it's more of a gray tone. Also, they run big and wider, I'm typically a size 1 or 2 sometimes and size 2 on these is more like size 4.

I thought these shorts were so cute, I asked for the polka dot ones for Christmas. But there is NO LINER in them making them wildly uncomfortable. These are sadly going straight to the donation bag.

First of all, I agree with the other reviewer on sizing - I have a 25-26 inch waist and needed a 2, so if you’re smaller than that you’re probably out of luck. But the real fault in these shorts is the fabric. It’s very light and airy due to a sort of perforated squares design which is very stretchy on the diagonal but has limited stretch on the square. Unfortunately it’s sewn on the square so it stresses the seams and perforations in crucial situations (like across the butt while bending over). I imagine it’s easier and more stable to sew it that way but it defeats the purpose. Also the “wide and flat waistband” still has a skinny piece of elastic at the top (separate from the draw cord) because otherwise these would fall down with anything in the pockets. Anyway, the patterns are cute and I’m sure I’ll wear them but I wouldn’t have bought them if I’d tried them on in person first.
