GIVING BACK

Oiselle is a by women, for women athletic apparel company. We make apparel for women athletes of all ages, paces, and places, and bring together a community of women who love to move, run, and fly. Our mission is threefold: make great product, improve the sport, and build the sisterhood. We believe in the transformative power of a truly inclusive and representative sport.

Oiselle's charitable giving programs closely align with our mission of supporting women and girls in their pursuit of sport. We also support work that more broadly furthers women’s rights and human rights, and fights racism and white supremacy.

Oiselle’s main charitable focus has been our Bras for Girls donation program. Begun in 2017, the Bras For Girls’ mission is to educate girls about how to accurately choose and fit a sports bra using content created for this program, and includes sports bra donations. The program targets late elementary to middle school girls - an age at which some girls choose to stop participating in sport due to discomfort with their changing bodies. Oiselle has donated more than 11,500 sports bras since 2017, specifically to girls and communities in need. Please let us know if you would like to nominate a recipient program!

In May of 2021, we partnered with TrackGirlz, Wyomia Tyus, and other Tigerbelles who were Olympic legends of the 1960s, to provide a platform for sharing their stories with girls in sport. Athletes' stories, particularly of Black athletes and other women of color, deserve to be elevated so that their silenced representation is not repeated for the next generation. Knowing their stories will inspire girls as athletes and leaders, now and in future generations.

In 2021 we partnered with the Black woman-led organization &Mother, to support their work advocating for the rights of women athletes and mothers.

After joining the Running Industry Diversity Coalition in 2020, in June of 2021 we committed a $50,000 first year contribution to further their work. We believe that the running industry needs to make good on its promise of being an activity for all. And in order for the sport to be truly transformative, it must include everybody.

In 2021, Women Run the Vote raised $111,000 with $37,000 going to each partner organization: The National Indigenous Women's Resource Center, The Duwamish Tribe of Seattle, and Runners for Public Lands.

In fall of 2020, Oiselle partnered with Run 4 All Women to host Womxn Run the Vote, a wildly successful virtual relay to support voting rights, which engaged 10,000 athletes and raised over $270,000 for Black Voters Matter in the crucial run-up to the November, 2020 election. In addition, a % of product sales from the associated Vote Shop flowed to Run 4 All Women to support their activism work.

In June of 2020, on Global Running Day, Oiselle donated 100% of sales to the Loveland Foundation, an organization dedicated to the health of Black girls and women, especially as it relates to mental health and access to therapy. The donated amount was $81,000 or equal to ~675 hours of mental health support.

Since 2016, Oiselle has also made donations to ACLU, Planned Parenthood, and TIME’S UP.

In addition, Oiselle supports the charitable work of our Volée Team by providing Volée members with gear to distribute to their local running programs and teams in need.

From 2012-2016, Oiselle was the proud apparel sponsor of Every Mother Counts, an organization dedicated to making pregnancy and childbirth safe for every mother, that uses running as a venue to raise awareness and funds.

From 2013-2016, Oiselle provided training gear including sports bras to Girls Gotta Run, an organization that invests in Ethiopian girls who use running and education to empower themselves and their communities. In 2016 alone, Oiselle donated more than $30,000 of running gear to Girls Gotta Run.

We are honored to do our part to help build a love of sport within every community. Thank you for helping us support these programs!
