O-MAZING STRIDE SHORTS
Made from our Plya Compression (popularized in Spandos Capris), this go-to compression short is made of interlock fabric, known for being lightweight, compressive, and very soft/smooth. Its unique knit structure also prevents sheerness. The Birds Everywhere print is yarn dyed so there is no white yarn show-through. Our 360 waistband pocket goes all the way around, and is ample enough to hold everything from keys to fuel to a phone.
- Plya Interlock (polyester / spandex)
- interior drawcord
- 360 waistband pocket
- 4.75" inseam (all sizes)
I can't say enough about these shorts! They're comfortable, not too tight, and have a thicker fabric that breathes in the heat. If you're a Nike Pro person you need to trade those shorts in and buy a pair of these! Oiselle's shorts are thicker, don't ride, AND they have pockets to carry your phone, fuel, credit cards, keys, etc. I bring my phone with me for all of my runs for GPS (Strava Beacon) and I've been carrying it in the back pocket of these shorts. I barely notice I'm carrying my phone with me, it stays secure and doesn't bounce around. I'm definitely buying more of these and can't wait to wear them for all of my warm runs! I'm 5'4, 102lbs, wear size 23/24 in jeans and ordered a Size 2.
These shorts ride up in the legs and crotch. The black color become see-through with sweat and the drop-in pockets are not secure, stuff falls out.
At 5'5, 128# and an avid trail runner, the size 4 felt just right, but I would encourage you to keep shopping.
I do have bigger thighs, but usually spandex shorts are good for that. Sadly that was not the case with these shorts. I set out to run a 5K and ended up coming home and changing shorts mid-run because they continue to roll up my legs, and at one point they were all the way up to where it looked like I just had briefs on. I wanted to love these because the fabric was so light and comfy, but I can't recommend these.
I am a coach, so I have to carry my phone with me on just about every run—and then there are gels, keys, a credit card.... These have SO. MANY. POCKETS! People rave about the Pocket Joggers, but I don’t like to carry anything heavier than, say, a $20 bill in a side pocket because it makes me feel as though I’m losing my pants on that side, which is NOT chic (not to mention the weird bulge on one leg). The length is ideal for a petite person like me (I’m 5’2”), and they did not budge for six miles! No chafing, no riding up, no sliding down... I bought 2 pairs on sale and will definitely be buying more. It’s possible the people who had issues with riding up need to size down? I have worn tons of Lulu shorts and generally have to size up to a 6; I wear a 4 in normal, non-running pants (sometimes a 2 if I’m in peak marathon fitness HAHA) and the 4 fits me perfectly. I’m telling all my friends—two very enthusiastic thumbs up!
Wanted to like these because of the color and how soft the fabric is. But when they started to ride up 5 minutes into a simple stretching session, I knew there was no way they'd work on a run. I even ordered on the smaller end of my size range. So they're going back and I'm super bummed :(
I bought my usual size 4 and they are big. I’m a little worried if I put anything in the pockets, they will start creeping down. I’ve had to use the inner drawstring but for the almost $70 I paid for them, I wanted them to be perfect. I wonder if the 2’s would have been better but I’ve already worn the 4’s so I’m out of luck. Disappointed.
I was looking for a pair of shorts I can race in but with pockets to stash my gels. I typically do no like running in spandex type shorts but saw the pockets in these & had to try them. The first thing I noticed was how soft they are when I opened the package. They feel incredible. The fit is great, not too tight & long enough that I don’t feel uncomfortable in them. They did “ride up” a little but with the medium length, I didn’t feel as though my butt was exposed. The only thing that could make them better would be one fold over type pocket where I could put my car key & feel it would be secure with no chance of it coming out.
I have had pretty good luck with Oiselle compression style shorts (RIP to the regular spando shorts) and O-mazing tights are my FAVORITE! Naturally I was so excited to see them made into a short! Unfortunately, almost immediately on my first run in them they started to creep up. By the end of the block they had rolled all the way up to point where I looked like I was running in underwear. I spent the entire run tugging them back down but despite my best efforts they never seemed to stay in place... I am 5'8" and 175 ish lbs and got a 6 like I do in the tights. They fit great around the waist but, for whatever reason, would consistently roll up my legs. I am super bummed about this because, like I said, Oiselle compression shorts and I are usually good buds. I'm very sad these didn't work out and will be sticking to my pocket joggers for now.
