There is so much about these shorts that is right up my alley: the abundance of pockets, cute but sleek/subtle styling, and the longer length. However, I have to agree with the other reviewers that have pointed out that the sizing is truly strange.
I have many pairs of Oiselle shorts and pants from over the past several years, most are a size 6 and fit so well and comfortably, even after many many uses (my fave thing about Oiselle is how much use I typically get out of all my items). I also a have one other pair of Oiselle shorts in a size 8 that are comfortable but definitely baggy, that I enjoy for lounging around. With this in mind and having read the reviews that say these Long Pocket Jogger shorts run small, I ordered an 8 thinking they would fit great. I could barely squeeze into them to try them on, they were so uncomfortably tight! I returned those and thought that was it for me and these shorts. Then I recently saw them at my local running store and decided to try the size 10. I'm keeping them because I've now worn them a few times. But as soon as I wore them on a harder run, I could feel that they were still way too tight, and with the super high waist, it's like I feel them squeezing my diaphragm and restricting my breathing. Not what I'm looking for on the run! I think they look great and hopefully I can get my money's worth by wearing them for walks or shorter/easier runs, but I still find myself choosing my other Oiselle bottoms (that fit much more comfortably despite being 2 sizes smaller) most of the time.
I was excited to see Oiselle expanding some of their products to be more size-inclusive (we runners come in all shapes and sizes!), but this makes me wonder if they are shrinking their sizing overall.
If you really really take these sizing quirks into account when purchasing, maybe these could be a great short for you!
