Run Poncho

Bought this seriously assuming I'd return this, but GIRRRRL... If you live in the SF Bay Area, this is so surprisingly useful. I wore it when it was rainy this week (even when it was a pretty strong downpour, my head/torso stayed dry!). It is perfection as an extra layer when it's wet outside and you want protection, but the weather is a tad too warm for a jacket. Like others said, it's pretty thin and short, but I'm 5'2" 135lbs with a short-ish torso, so it hits right at the hips. I ordered a small which is well-fitting, probably could've sized up if I wanted a bit more space. But seriously, if you live somewhere where there's a marine layer, get this.

I'm still on the fence about this poncho. Unfortunately, I bought it to wear for those early spring and fall rains when it is too cool to run without a jacket but too warm to wear my long-sleeved waterproof and, of course, it's now winter and too cool for this. I do wish it were a bit longer and the short length may be enough for me to return it. I'm 5 foot 7 and the small fits well (loose) except for the length. So, if length is important to you perhaps this review will help.

I really wanted to love this, and I figured I would give it a try because of the good reviews, but I really don’t see the point. It’s nice where it adds a little bit of warmth to the core, but it’s really not substantial enough to stand up to a lot of rain like there is in Washington State.
There’s not a lot to the material, and especially for the price, I wouldn’t purchase it again. It looks a lot more substantial than it actually is. I waited too long to return it because I was out of town, so I am sure I will rotate it into the running lineup to some degree and make use of it.

who knew this would be my go-to layer for fall? Love it over long sleeves and short sleeves in drizzle, light wind, and the occasional downpour.
