We are excited to welcome racers and fans to Sacramento for CIM! Below are some of our favorite places to run and nosh in town. Reference the bottom of this post for meet-up information. Safe travels and see you soon!

The American River Trail is our bread and butter. It goes 32 miles from Downtown out to the foothills of the Sierras. We recommend starting anywhere from Sac State and to the east. Here is a map of areas to park for easy trail access.

For a quick shake out, William Land Park is another good option. It's three miles south of downtown, and a very pretty three mile jog around.

Note: there are so many good restaurants in this area, you can't go wrong with Yelp

Coffee - the Mill, Old Soul (multiple locations), Insight Coffee (multiple locations)

Food - Hook and Ladder (American, Farm to Table), Tres Hermanas (our favorite Mexican food), Burgers and Brew, Ramen House Ryujin

Celebratory Dessert - Ginger Elizabeth Chocolate (or the gelato place next door ;)

East Sac

Coffee - Tupelo, Chocolate Fish

Food - Selland's (order at the counter, quality sandwiches and plates)

Brunch - Bacon and Butter (“farm-to-table American breakfast and lunch classics”)

Fair Oaks

Coffee - Insight or Temple

Brunch - Bella Bru, Ettore’s

Celebratory Dessert - The Parlor (it's a donut, ice cream sandwich. Enough said.)
