Runners know, love, and understand the beauty of knickers. It’s that couple-inches-below-the-knee style that gives us plenty of coverage where we need it, quads and knees, while leaving our calves out, or to work in tandem with tall compression socks. This season, we updated the popular Team Tights into a Knickers style, including the classic bird graphic and handy side pocket. The high waist and Plya Compression fabric complete the design, with plenty of support while also being lightweight so you don’t overheat.
- Plya Interlock (polyester / spandex)
- interior drawcord
- mid-rise waistband
- mid-weight compression
- side pocket on left leg
- bird graphic on right leg
- 17" inseam (size 4)
I've been running consistently in these for several weeks now. The material feels really nice- It's not too thick or too thin, works well on chillier runs and all the way up to 70 degrees. These have a silkier feel to them, and they glide on nicely and stay comfortable the whole run. I was unsure of what size to order- I like my running tights to be on the tighter side (to make sure the waist band stays up), so I usually order small- but with two small sizes to choose from (4 and 6), I was really stumped. I went with the 6, and am happy to report that these stay up and hold their shape through all my running. (I'm 5'5, 129 lbs for reference). These are my first Oiselle tights, and I am very pleased with the quality.
I find these to be the perfect fit, fabric, and function for mild to hot weather running. Sometimes I just don't feel like wearing shorts when it's hot and these are great in a wide range of temps. The fabric is thick enough to feel supportive but super breathable and dries crazy fast. The finish is kind of slippery, so even when you're hot and sweaty, nothing feels sticky or chaff-y. The waistband sits at a very comfortable mid-rise. The side pocket is perfect for my phone or a snack.
I picked these up at my local REI, and they have become my favorite capris for pretty much anything I do. The fabric is soft and stretchy, the pocket is big enough for an iPhone X, and they've help up well with frequent use.
