Great Race Day Shorts!

5'4 1 115 lb -- i have a thick waist so I size up for high-waisted styles. I bought a size 4 and it fit perfect. I wore these at a half marathon and they worked like magic, the mesh pockets held gels, the side pocket my phone and the back pocket my hotel key. The shorts did not move at all -- super comfortable and functional. I plan to wear them at a full marathon later this year.

I keep looking for the holy grail

I hate to be that person who always says, "the [fill in the blank product] you had several years ago was perfect, why don't you bring those back, but I am. I don't even remember the name of the shorts I have from a few years ago that were just perfection for me--mid waist, 5" inseam, a small zippered side pocket, but they really were perfect. I have two pairs and still wear them daily, although they are wearing out and I have been searching high and low for the :perfect" replacement. The Lucky Seven shorts aren't it. They are ok, the inseam is a good length, but the waist is too high for my comfort, the fabric is a bit on the heavy/thick side and, although I love the large pockets on the sides of the leg, the pin-tucking detail just adds bulk and does not create a flattering silhouette. *Sigh*.

Minimal ride up and extremely useful.... but not the most flattering

First O compression shorts I've been able to wear with minimal ride up, so that's a win. Seven pockets may be a bit excessive, but I'm sure if my marathon plans didn't get sidelined they'd be more valuable to me. I use about 5 of the pockets on race days (one for keys, card, phone, airpods, and these little snap things I use for my race bib instead of safety pins).

The problem is that when you use the pockets, they make your lower half look MASSIVE... and I ordered in black! There's also a lot of gapping in the crotchal reason and I just don't understand why O can't seem to get their sizing right. Hire a design consultant if you're really struggling that hard.

Slightly large

Note I found these less compressive than the pocket joggers, probably could have sized down.
