Love it!

I can’t say enough about how great this jacket is. I got this as a gift for Christmas (I have a rain jacket and vests for cold weather running so I probably wouldn’t have bought this for myself) but I’m so happy I have it now. I’ve used this in both snow and bitter cold (<10 deg) over a wool or thick layer, and it breaks the wind and keeps me the perfect temperature. It also feels snazzy when you’re wearing it and the reflective pieces are a great addition. I would definitely recommend for cold weather running!

Good for visibility but...

It's a light jacket that does the job for high visibility. However, it is not at all water-resistant. I ran yesterday in a light southern California rain and came home drenched. I would not recommend it for anything except reflectivity. No pockets either.

My favorite outer layer

I'm an early early morning runner in Portland, OR where it's wet all winter long. I absolutely love this jacket as an extra layer of warmth on dry colder mornings and an outer shell for the rain. Works from 30-55 degrees. And it delivers every time. The reflectivity is so helpful in the dark. I went for a M (I'm 5'6"/145lbs) and it's perfect. 4 months in and it's holding up absolutely perfectly.

Great jacket and reflection, need high visibility color options!

This is a very handy jacket--I'm usually a 6 in Oiselle clothes and got a small, which fits great over a long sleeve (or two long sleeves on cold days) easily and comfortably. The reflective areas are awesome, and large--great for dark running! I do wish this jacket came in higher visibility colors though...when I run close to dawn/dusk (when the light transitions from true darkness to low-light to daylight or vice-versa over the course of a single run), the black color makes me hesitate to wear it, because while I know it'll be great for when it's truly dark, but the black makes me blend in with the road--adding another bright color or two (like snap!) would make this jacket more useful. The fit is great and I like the zipper on the front, pullover style, and the drawstring at the bottom!

Wonderful jacket! Needs pockets.

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I might like this even more than my beloved Vim jacket... I haven't put this one through the ringer yet, the way I have the Vim, but so far, it's fantastic! This kept me warm and dry on a rainy winter run. Sometimes in the Vim, I find moisture beading on the inside. So far, I haven't had that problem with this. During normal times, I run-commute and I love having a huge swatch of reflective material for New England winter, where it's dark at 4:00.

My only complaint is there are no pockets - a sad mid-run revelation when I tried to stash my gloves.

I alternate between XS and S and went with the XS for this. The shoulders are a hair snug, but overall I prefer the way it looks and feels. My size small Vim has always felt a little too big.

Firecracker Half Zip ROCKS

Although I did not need another jacket/shell, the reflective strips on the arms and angled portions grabbed my attention. I've worn it a few times since the time change and cooler temps, and it is the perfect mixture of a light layer to stay warm (not hot!) and safe on small rural roads without a shoulder. Much gratitude for this shell!

Stellar Jacket

I was looking for a super high-vis lightweight jacket for those sunrise and sunset runs - this jacket is perfect! The generous reflective pieces make it impossible for cars/ cyclists to miss you, and the lightweight material is perfect for layering. I've worn this in 35-55F degree weather over a long or short sleeve and it's just right. Plus something about the way the jacket looks is kind of retro and swanky, so I feel like a badass. Don't miss out on this Oiselle gem!
