I'm 5'4 and 123 lbs. I. ordered a small, and it's not too snug. I could comfortably wear a long sleeve inside. I love every detail in this jacket. I ordered this to wear as a mid-layer as I brace myself for below zero degrees running weather!
This jacket has been great for my runs this winter. I typically wear it when the temperature is anywhere from 10s-30s and it's great at keeping me warm. I love the reflective stripe for added visibility. I wouldn't mind having vents because the sweat definitely condenses inside the jacket, but for the most part it doesn't bother me and I can just leave the jacket half-zipped for some more ventilation. I highly recommend!
I ran in my VIM in Seattle for two years and six marathons (eep). I don't mind getting wet in the rain, and this jacket protects me from the wind without turning into a sweaty sauna. Last week someone swiped my jacket. I'm replacing it right away, because it is perfect. I hope you like it too.
I live in this jacket in WI, through fall, winter (mid 20's), and now spring. Its an ideal weight, not too light and not too heavy and I regularly take it off mid run and forget its even on my waist. Its not a rain jacket (doesn't claim to be) or even a jacket to wear against a drizzle if you want to remain dry, but works well in the wind. It could definitely use some under arm vents, as others have suggested. This hasn't stopped me from wearing it all the time, but it would be a huge improvement.
I love the look, feel and fit of this jacket. It is windproof and water resistant. The only issue I'm having is it does not seem to be breathable at all. Sweat condenses inside the jacket and makes me wet! I wish it had a few vents.W
Pros: light weight, easy to pack, less likely to make you over heat Con: I am tall and was expecting a longer jacket. Throw jacket does not always cover my torso. It needs a tall option.
I've been wearing it the past few weeks on my morning runs. The temps have been in the high 20s and mid 30s with a few days having light mist or flurries. This jacket keeps me dry and warm. The first time I wore it, I layered a quarterzip and a long sleeve shirt underneath and I was dying. As for the size, I'm short and small busted and the jacket hit just below my hips. It's just a tad long for me but if you're over 5'6" or chesty it would have to seem short.
This jacket is the perfect, lightweight layer for windy fall running. I hate to be cold, and I love how when I wear this jacket out for a run, it majorly withstands the wind, and if I get too hot, I can stuff it in a pocket and wear on my arm. The arm band in the pocket is genius, and it's so lightweight, I barely feel it! Just for comparison, for those who've ever run with their phone in an armband, this is way, way lighter.
