At Oiselle, our vision is to help all women feel strong and free through the joy of running. Our mission is to design great product, build the sisterhood, and improve the sport. May we all experience the transformative power of sports and community.
Inspired by the engineering of suspension bridges, the Sisters Bra is designed for maximum security, support, and coverage at all points. The name alludes to the sisterhood in its design: two layers of construction working in harmony. An inner layer, which includes unique meshes and molded cups, while attaching those elements to an inner set of straps. This inner layer = encapsulation, supporting each breast. The outer layer and outer straps represent the compression, holding everything in place. The four-strap system more evenly distributes the weight, relieving strap pressure which can often cause pain or welting in the skin. The Sisters Bra is also higher on the neck, to minimize top bounce, with the two layers of mesh at the neck serving both form and function. Learn more about the Sisters Bra on the blog.
I have tried and discarded 20+ sports bras in the last two years in the pursuit of finding the "perfect fit and support". I tried Oiselle at a running store and was blown away by the level of comfort, support, and overall appearance. I can wear these bras all day without feeling pinched or uncomfortable. I purchased three additional sports bras from their website! For reference, my normal bra size is 34D, but I wear a 36D in Oiselle's sports bras.
This bra is my new favorite for all higher impact/high bounce activities. Super secure but much more comfortable than the high impact bras I’ve bought from other companies. I went down a cup size from what I usually wear and the fit/support is perfect for running.
I really really like this bra. The support is incredible, better than any other bra I've tried so far. BUT it makes my boobs look ginormous in a way I don't enjoy. I think the padding is part of the encapsulation... but I would really prefer a version of this bra that eliminated padding.
I wear Brooks running bras which have recently started chafing my back. I've heard great things about Oiselle bras and decided to give it a go. I wear 32DD in the Dare Racerback Run Bra, and I measure 32D/DD with the ABraThatFits calculator. I ordered a 32DD and a 34C in the Oiselle Sisters bra. There was no way I was going to get the 32DD over my shoulders. The band is SO SMALL. Even the 34 inch band I could hardly fasten. Once it was fastened, I liked the overall feel and style of the bra. It felt like it would be secure and compressive for runs. However, because the band was so small, the bra was uncomfortable and not at all flattering. This also happened with the Queen Bra.
I also ordered the In2Sports and Double-Breasted bras in a M + L and 6 + 8, respectively. These almsot felt too large in the chest area while still being tight in the band. I am keeping the M In2Sports bra, but there's no way I could do high impact sports in it. It'll work better as a lounging/daily wear sports bra. I'm very disappointed and feeling terrible about my body, but I'm willing to return and try a different size in the Sisters bra.
