At Oiselle, our vision is to help all women feel strong and free through the joy of running. Our mission is to design great product, build the sisterhood, and improve the sport. May we all experience the transformative power of sports and community.
The Queen Bra has a deceptively simple design aesthetically – but still includes all of the internal construction that makes it a highly supportive, structured bra. It includes molded cups with perforation for heat release, our unique padded and stable shoulder straps, adjustability in both the chest band and the straps, as well as an extra plush and ribbed chest elastic that forms the foundation of the style. Its body fabric is Power Plya™ Compression which is smooth, durable, and includes a high Spandex® content for stretch and recovery. Learn more about the Queen Bra on the blog.
I’ve searched for years for bras as good as the bras Moving Comfort used to make. Finding one that is supportive but you can get out of when you are sweaty is a feat. I have never loved a sports bra more than this one! I’ve bought at least five so far and am still adding more. Don’t ever change this gem!
I’ve tried so many different sports bras this marathon training cycle and every bra had
chafed me so badly. However, this bra was the only one that did not!! I ended up having to size up on the band (normally I’m a 32D but I sized up to a 34D). I ended up buying one of each of the sale colors and will purchase more!
I have been looking for a replacement for my beloved Rebound Racer bras, ruthlessly discontinued by Brooks (may never forgive them, tbh). The Queen Bra pleasantly surprised me with its comfort, but I'm not sure I'll stock up on 5 of them just yet. I would agree with others that have said the band sizing is a little tight, it is snug, though ok for me in my 'normal' size of 34DD, but I'm probably technically closer to a 33. If you are between sizes, definitely size up.
After several runs in the bra, a few tweaks would bring it up to a 5 Star for me:
1) The lining on the cups is a little too thick; no extra bulk is needed in the cup department in my option, I've got plenty of my own. (:
2) The outside edge of the cups, by the underarm, has some very firm material in it and I can feel pressure on that little roll of skin that always seems to be there between the bra and the armpit ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Not a show-stopper by any means, but interesting because I've never felt pressure there in a bra before so maybe it can be fixed?
3) Could the straps have scalloped edges or something similar? Not for aesthetics, but to help them ride a little softer between the shoulder blades. Now they create a slight pressure point when I wear the straps racerback / X- style.
If the engineers can solve these problems - this bra would be amazing!
Last note: I would have rated it a 4, but this is the first bra I've had that is cute enough and has enough coverage to wear without a tank/shirt over so this gets it a 1/2 star bonus. :)
...but I can't. I was excited about the ability to switch from a scoop to crossback and the chestband and neither delivered as hoped. I'm not huge (36C) but this bra does NOT fit. First, my boobs are so squished that they touch and I hate when they can't stay separate in a bra when working out. There is also zero ability to wear this as a crossback - the straps are literally not long enough adjusted to its "longest" length. They are barely long enough for the scoop. It was also so tight that I can't get it hooked without hooking it in the front first, then turning it around to put my arms through the holes. The chestband actually make me quite red for a long time after a workout as well. Disappointed for sure. If Oiselle has a give-back program that this could go to someone in need, I would do that. Otherwise it is going in the donation pile.
