Protect and be protected. This multi-function gaiter is incredibly versatile. It's made from a lightweight, UPF 50 stretch knit, that will protect you from damaging ultraviolet rays. I like the rainbow colors. It is light, I find I can breath through it. The big challenge is using it as a gaiter. It’s just too big with no way to tighten it. I’ve rigged with with a rubber band to use as a face covering when I’m on a bike ride. On the ride I keep it down, but if I stop to get some food I have to put it up. The only way it will stay up with is with my rubber band system
I love the color so much, it’s bright and fun BUT if you are planning to use to cover your face while running, it could suffocate you!!! I only pull up to cover my nose/mouth when I pass someone, even just for the few seconds, I couldn’t breathe and that was horrible. I would not recommend this product for that use but I’m sure everything else is fine 🌈
Okay as a headband but not good as a face covering. It doesn’t stay up and when it does it is difficult to breathe through. The rainbow pattern is cute though so I kept it.
...but not so much as a facial covering. :( And I had *such* high hopes. I had to keep it in place with a hair band in the back as it kept slipping down. However, once I had it in place, I couldn't breathe through it. It stuck to my nose/mouth and was so much harder to breathe through than any of my other gaiters and facial coverings. It is okay as an emergency-use facial covering (e.g. wear it around my neck and pull it up if I pass a person) but not as a constantly-worn facial covering for busy areas. It rocks as a headband, however, and I love wearing it to keep the sweat off my forehead.
I love this gaiter for my initial purpose of using when needed for COVID, however with my MIL’s recent cancer diagnosis I have discovered a new purpose as a head scarf! Bringing gay pride to chemo chairs near you...
Perfect to wear running or hiking to keep the sun off my neck and be ready to pull on my face when needed. LOVE the bold colors, very comfortable!
It makes me sad to read all the negative reviews on here. I had low expectations for this gaiter, but was pleasantly surprised to find that it was light, fit around my neck comfortably, and could be easily pulled up over my nose while passing people on the trails/streets.
As you can see from my photo, it is not tight fitting around my face. I think my head is just large enough to hold it up over my nose. I usually reach for this gaiter before my Buff just because I love the rainbow stripes so much!
Love this gaiter, we ALWAYS need more pride gear, Fam 🏳️🌈 but unfortunately the unfinished edge started fraying badly after its first wash :( Wish it would have held up more like my Flyte I’ve had for years. It fits well and is breathable in comparison to Buff and other standard fabric gaiters, but it’s just not holding up the same.
