Seattle Running Collective was born January 30th, 2022 when members of various running clubs and crews in Seattle came together with a shared vision for making the running community more diverse and inclusive. The Seattle Running Collective is not another running club, instead it is an umbrella organization that brings together various running groups/crews with a shared mission of creating space for BIPOC folx to feel welcomed and included and deconstructs language and ideas of what it means to be a runner. Members collaborate on events, uplift the work of organizations within the community and share best practices and resources that will make running and movement open to more people. Cascade Orienteering Club

ABOUT OUR CREW

We're a non-profit organization founded in Seattle in 1977, and we're currently the only orienteering club in western Washington.

In addition to being an active outdoor club, we're primarily an event organizer. You just can't go out the front door and go orienteering whenever and wherever you want. You need a location with a detailed map, you need someone to design a race course, and you need someone to put out checkpoint flags. That "someone" is us.

LOCATION
We're based out of Seattle. An overwhelming majority of our races are in the Puget Sound region, but in the spring and summer, we venture out to central Washington where the terrain is more interesting.

We firmly believe it's just more fun, and sometimes the extra motivation we all need, to know that we're running with our neighbors. Every so often, we also take the trails and share our love of trail running. We hope to share some miles with you soon!
