I absolutely love Flyout tanks. I have 6 from previous seasons, but I'm not sure I'm keeping this one. I wore a size 6 in the first season, then had to size down to a size 4 in the next several seasons. Based on other reviews, I sized back up to a 6 in the spring 2020 version. Length is fine, & while I liked the the old hem, the change is not a deal breaker for me. The problem comes in that it totally gapes under the arms & I'm afraid I will chafe. I'm a 35 AA. I don't want a tank that hugs my hips, so I don't know if sizing down would fit. None of my other Flyout tanks are cut with the curve causing the armpit flare out on me. Super bummed because I love the new colors, but not sure I'd wear the style.
For reference, I'm 5'9.5" and wear a 4 in most O tanks & bras and a 6 in most O long sleeves.
This tank is a dream for runners! Feels like nothing is there. Clings to you (not in a bad way) and does not move or slide around on you while running. The cut is great for me- does not ride up into my armpits and there is plenty of material at the bottom as well. If I move it up (to cover more of my top area), it stays put! All while feeling very light weight and breathable for those warmer days. For reference: I am 125lbs and a size 32DD. The size 4 fits me well. I will be buying more of these for the summer! And likely will try out the long-sleeve flyout this Autumn.
This tank is worth every penny, it's so soft, I never want to take it off! I will be buying many more!
- Flyout fabric remains awesome
- New colors are very pretty
- Length is nice
- Updated fit (as of Spring 2020) doesn’t work as well for me. They got rid of the scalloped bottom and it has an overall slimmer fit through the hips and stomach. Size six used to fit me perfectly, now it’s super unattractive, clingy, and lacking that awesome floaty Flyout feel. I sized up to an 8 and while it fits through my hips better, it has some weird gapping at the top.
If you have any sort of hips and loved the way the old Flyout fit because it actually didn’t ride up while you were running, you’re almost definitely going to want to size up on it now.
I love the new Flyout Racerback Tank design! The length is perfect for those with a longer torso or just want a little more fabric. It is comfy and breathable. I ordered a size 4 and 6 as I wasn't certain with the new style what would be the best fit. The size 4 is perfect. I'm 5'7, 132 lbs and typically a small in Oiselle tops. I hope to see more colors soon as these are the best tops for summer running and hiking.
I don't think I've ever loved a tank top more! It stays put perfectly! It's loose without being baggy. It keeps me nice and cool and dry. I'll be wearing this for my next marathon. The material is awesome! I don't care for knit-like tops and prefer the silky feel for my running tops. This is the perfect in-between.
This tank fits perfectly. It accentuates all the positives. As an endowed woman, it is great to find a shirt that fits so well. It wicks sweat away beautifully and keeps you comfortable. The blue color is beautiful . Plan to buy the other colors.
I bought this top to run in those few but hot and very humid Seattle summer days. Turns out I got to use it for the first time in Miami. Miami in July, at 7am - very hot (85F), very very humid (90%). And this top passed the test with flying (ah!) colors. First, it's very pretty. I didn't think it would be, but then I tried it on in the store, and fell in love. The cut is great, it's flattering, drapes well, and the colors are very nice. I couldn't choose, so got it in both blue and green. Neither colors is sheer but I can see how lighter ones would be. Then, when you start running, it's so so light. HoverFit is not a joke. You just don't feel it at all. It doesn't cling, it doesn't move, doesn't creep up, it barely touches you but still wicks sweat away like a champ and stays dry. And you can feel the breeze, which is like the cherry on the cake. Freedom in a shirt. So - wear this. You will look good, feel good, run good. And dry, and cool. @Oiselle - please, please, please, more colors before summer is gone! PLEASE! For reference, I'm 5'11", 155lbs, and got them in size 6.
