WAZZIE WOOL LONG SLEEVE
Our original Wazzie Wool is a wonder. With exceptionally high New Zealand Merino, and some added stretch, it's the perfect baselayer. It works hard at moving sweat and keeping you cool on any distance run, but is equally good at insulation and trapping body heat when you need it. A classic crew neck is combined with thumb holes to make up the sporty details.
- merino wool / spandex
- thumb holes for added warmth
- responsibly sourced
- absorbs and wicks sweat
- naturally water repellent
- machine wash, tumble dry (line dry optimal)
- 25.5" body length (size 4)
Bought this last year and I'm back again for another! I wear this top all the time in the cooler weather (the three weeks of "winter" we have here in FL) I also wear it around the house when husband has the A/C low. It's the BEST top. I size up to a 6, but a 4 would fit beautiful as well. I just don't like it tight across my chest. If you're on the fence, get it!! .
I'm about to order my 3rd size in this top. Typically I wear an 8 in Oiselle tops but the 8 was HUGE on me. I ordered a 6 and still, it's much more loose than I would like, especially as a base layer which I like close to the skin. I'll order a size 4--something I've never worn in tops since I'm 140lbs and a 36D--and hope that works. The fabric and styling seems lovely though as a shorter person the length is excessive, thus another reason to try the size 4. Keep in mind: my 4 star rating is just for the size issue since I haven't yet had a chance to wear it yet. I can't wait to get one that works as it seems like the perfect wool weight for winter.
I have been back and forth between spending the money to get a piece Oiselle running gear. I finally splurged on this for my 35th birthday (which happens to be today and it arrived the night before so I was able to wear it on my morning run). First of all, this is by far the greatest long sleeve running shirt I have ever worn. The material kept me warm at the start of my run, but I didn't over heat or feel like it was sticking to me as I warmed up during my run. It remained light and airy. It was comfortable for my entire run, and I have never experienced that before. I would recommend it to anyone just off that fact. To top it off, it was so comfortable, it fits perfectly, it isn't too tight or too loose. The sleeves are the perfect length. I will definitely be adding another one of these to my closet in the future!!!
Love this shirt. It’s my go-to for running and casual. The weight is great, the color is flattering and it is so versatile.
I absolutely love this top. It is soft and drapes so nicely. I'll wear it out on Friday night with friends and then to run in on Saturday morning...and then again to my group workout on Tuesday night!! I have broad shoulders and big boobs and this top fits so great, unlike some other O tops that are a bit too tight. I'm 5'7, 32DDD and wear a size 6 top. I also really love the length of these sleeves, my hands are always cold, but I can ditch the gloves a lot when I wear this.
I love this shirt, it is exactly what I need for winter running in Upstate NY. It's not too thin, not too thick, warm without being bulky, and wicks away sweat so I don't get cold in the winter. It's a great winter fabric! I also love the blue color. In my opinion it runs a little large (I am 12 in most tops, I returned for a size 10), and I usually layer with a tank underneath.
I have the wazzie wool base layer from previous years, and supplemented with this long sleeve 2019 edition in Douglas fir, thinking they would be the same. They are not. This one is a lot looser fitting compared to previous years. The material also feels slightly thicker. That's totally fine, but if you are expecting it to fit similar to the ones you have from before, you may be a little disappointed (or, you may just want to consider sizing down).
In the cooler and rainy weather this fall this has been the shirt I reach for first every time - the fit is great, it's light but warm, and the watch opening in the sleeve is genius. However, I wore it during a trail marathon and the fabric pilled like CRAZY where my hydration vest was rubbing against it. It turned almost white in that spot. (I have it in BB blue) It seems to be mostly superficial damage but it doesn't look very nice!
