In 2004 we began our quest for non-poofy running shorts. Since its original debut, the Rogas have evolved with lighter fabric, improved waistband, additional pockets, lengths, and prints, but our pursuit to make the best pair of running shorts for women remains unchanged.
Mac Roga Shorts
For those who seek maximum legs-out freedom, but an alternative to the booty shorts, the Mac Roga was inspired by Sarah “Mac” Robinson who wanted Rogas that were “a little less.” The same semi-fitted style that defines the Roga family, including an extra large, center back zip pocket, Plya™ Compression waistband, and Roga Stretch Woven fabric that is fluid, drapey, and forms to your body!
I’ve been searching for shorts that have less than a 2” inseam and had almost given up…then I found the Mac Roga shorts. At 5’-1”, even 2” inseams are too long for me. The Mac Rogas are 1.75” and cut in such a way that they hardly touch my thighs at all. LOVE tha!! I have booty shorts, but these Mac Rogas are a great addition to my running wardrobe. My only wish is they had size 0 — I’m 105 lbs and the size 2 is just a little big around the waist. It’s snug, but putting my phone in the back pocked weighs the waistband down and I have to hitch it up every once in a while. But overall — a great pair of running shorts!

As a short and thick thighs kind of runner, I've always been uncomfortable with short running shorts and in Texas, running with crop yoga pants or runners is out of the question, but the Mac Rogas are the perfect fit! They don't ride. They have fantastic colors and patterns and if you need pockets, you can opt for the Mac Rogas with a toolbelt! I literally own every single color and pattern. If they came out with all the primary colors, I'd be all over it!
