TRIPLE THREAT CAPRIS
Introducing the newest style in our effort to create practical garments that are also design-worthy stunners. Like its predecessor, the Pocket Jogger Capris, this style is well-pocketed (five!), is high-waisted (flattering, comfortable!), and provides that runner-essential piece that can straddle all kinds of temperatures and mileage (versatile!). Made in our best-selling Nyelle™ fabric, it also offers deep rich color, and a soft, supportive stretch that holds up run after run, and wash after wash.
- Nyelle Compression (nylon / spandex)
- rear zip pocket
- two side waist mesh pockets
- two side leg pockets that fit a phone
- interior drawcord
- 18" inseam (size 4)
These arrived in the mail the day before I left on a big hiking trip. I was so excited, I decided to wear them to the airport. I had an iphone in one pocket, passport in another, license/credit cards in another, and car key in another. SO convenient! The fabric is thick, and felt very comfortable on the plane.
I loved them so much I wore them 5/10 days on my trip, including many miles of hiking/backpacking (I would have worn them every day if I could!)
The fabric is just the right thickness for exercising in cool weather. The seams and design in the fabric fall in just the right places to create a great profile. And the pockets are AMAZING - like having a third hand as you are organizing gear.
I do really like these capris. The pockets are awesome for storing gloves, kleenex, chapstick, food, phone, etc. I also like the slightly thicker material for cooler days (today's run was in the 40s). I'm 5'8" and these are slightly short to really be capris - they are honestly knickers on me and rode up around my knees (not in an annoying way but definitely knickers). I also felt that they were less compressive and stretched more than I expected during my run. They felt very compressive when I tried them on but less so during/after a 10-mile run. I bought them in my usual O size and tried them on before purchasing. We'll see how they hold their fit on future runs. Also, I would love it if it had 1-2 reflective elements (seriously runners can never have enough reflectivity). Overall, I do recommend the capris! But beware taller runners.
I have two of these. Sizing is TTS. Very comfortable waist band (not too high, not too low), perfect fit. The fabric is thicker than I expected (these are not summer pants), but not very compressive. The kind that you put on and instantly forget.
The two side pockets fit my iPhone X and then some, and I didn't feel it while hiking. I love the mesh pockets at the waist to carry tissues. The back one, with a zipper, also fits my phone, and car key.
I've worn them a few times at home - so comfy! New faves! - and twice for working out - once during an early morning trail run, and once during a short hike. They didn't move at all. no sliding down, no creeping up, no need to adjust anything. Perfect! They're just too warm for running right now (end of August in Seattle, the run was around 59F) but were perfect for hiking. I'm not sure how breathable they are, but they will be at the top of the pile once temps get cooler in a few weeks.
The length is great for my long legs, they stop just below my knees, like a standard pair of knickers or half pants, which is what I was hoping for - not as low as the model in the pictures.
For reference, I'm 5'11" and between 150 and 155lbs. I'm a pretty solid size 6 in Oiselle bottoms, and I got them in that size.
