Mac Roga Shorts

I've been wearing these shorts for eight years now and they're my absolute favorite. But sizing and fit varies from one year to the next which is super frustrating. And I really wish there were more colors. Especially solid colors. But honestly my biggest complaint is that they are now $80. These used to be closer to 50. As much as I love them, and have bought them every year for the past eight years, I think I'm going to be looking for a new go to short.

Fit is good. Need more colors.

I used to love these shorts and owned several pairs of the version from a couple years ago. This year’s version has a different liner. It hits more at your upper thighs, instead of being underwear-like. The band is also thicker and digs in aggressively. This causes severe chafing and restricts movement at the groin and hamstring attachments. Absolutely unwearable.

Also (although this is trivial compared to the serious functional issues with the liner), the new style is very unflattering in the butt.

These seem like a really great pair of shorts and I’m really disappointed that they don’t fit. I’m 5’2, 108 lbs and my hips are about 36”. I tried the size 4, as that’s what size I wear in the pocket jogger shorts- WAY too big. Swapped them for a size 2- still very large. For reference, I have a size 2 pair of Mac roga toolbelt shorts, and they fit well aside from the liner being a little snug. I laid these flat on top of the tool belt rogas, and they are at least an inch bigger. Bummer.
