What is your favorite quote that guides, inspires, or embodies your training/racing/life?
“Keep Showing Up” – Desiree Linden
What was your favorite sport in middle school?
I actually didn’t start running until high school. I’m a marathoner now, but my favorite sport in high school was Track. My secret weapon is my sprinter legs.
Can you share your first sports bra experience?
Prior to getting a sports bra, I was that girl who wore a regular bra for my first season of track; I was too embarrassed to talk to my mom about getting one. I finally rummaged through my sister’s old clothes and found something that would suffice. It wasn’t until my third season of running that I received a new sports bra for Christmas – a black cotton Champion bra.
What is your absolute favorite piece of #flystyle and why?
I can’t get enough of the Mile One Pullover. I have it in 3 different colors and wear it for every run. I also wear the Stride Shorts for pretty much every run and workout. I’ve been training in these for over 3 years and they show no signs of wear.

If you could give one piece of advice to a 12 year old girl, what would it be?
Have fun with running! Being part of a team and learning to set goals changed my life and helped me to get where I am today on and off the track.
Tell us about your favorite place you have ever traveled to:
A few years ago my husband and I traveled to France to visit my brother in Colmar, just south of Strasbourg. For our long run we ended up running on roads, trails, through vineyards and small villages - seeing and exploring places we would not have otherwise visited, and ultimately we made it to the base of a castle where the views were to die for. Going on exploration runs when I visit new places is my favorite part of traveling.
What alternative career do you fantasize about?
My dream of all dreams is to be an astronaut! I’m really passionate about all things related to astronomy and space.
What is your superpower?
Positivity! I’m a glass-is-overflowing kind of girl! To balance this out, I am also analytical, which allows my decisions to not be clouded by my positivity.
