Nice but HUGE!

While I love these tights, I wish I’d order a 4 instead of 6. I’m a 5’9”, 130 lbs, 61 year-old distance runner who usually wears a 6, but these are waaay too big. I took them out on an early morning trail run and had to pull them up constantly. The drawstring is useless, as it’s non-functional: one can’t cinch it tighter as with open-ended drawstrings. Oiselle, I’m a big fan, but you could have done better on this design!

Beautiful and soft, but sizing issues

I'm a huge fan of Oiselle tights. The fabric is buttery soft and the fit is (usually!) reliable and forgiving. Unfortunately, as others have noted, these run at least a full size too big. I've gained about 10 pounds during COVID, but optimistically ordered my usual size 6. I should have gone with a 2. I do love the length, the high waist, and the light to moderate compression. I do NOT love having to stop frequently to pull my pants up.

Pretty darn good

I’m 5,9” and typically wear a 10 in Oiselle, but sized down to and 8 based on reviews. Probably could have gone to a 6 as they are very stretchy. Fabric is nice, lighter than I expected. I guess when I think full length tights, I think warm, but that’s not always the case. Waist is very high as is the current trend. All in all a nice tight with a few caveats.

Order a size down

Love the length, love the fabric! However, due to the significant stretch of the material (which is very comfy), order a size down to keep these from sagging and migrating when running. Also, the drawstring is a must, but is a little short and hard to tie.

Good length, needs better compression at waist

These have great pockets and are a great length for us tall birds. My only complaint is that the waistband makes my tummy pooch out.
It would have been so easy to make the top panel have a slight bit of compression to prevent this. But instead there is a thin band on top that's tigher, and then the stomach panel is not tight, which gives the "pooch" effect. i hope to see better compression in future versions.

Almost perfect!

I've been looking for a pair of full length running tights with side pockets and these are nearly perfect. I'm 5'8''/size 10 and the Tall Bird tights nicely cover my ankles. They stay in place - I don't think I've ever had to adjust them on a run! And the side pockets are a good size for my phone or snacks. My only complaint is that the waistband isn't the most flattering. The seams cut in a bit at the hip and again at my waist, creating a bit of a double muffin top. Not the best look. But at least they are comfortable. (I tried the same size in the Lux Go Anywhere 3/4 tight and had to return it as the top waistband was so tight that it hurt after an hour or two, though the hips and legs were plenty big on me.) I would love a pair of these Tall Bird tights in the Lux fabric!

Just ran 10 miles on a treadmill in these pants, and absolutely loved them. Not over-heated, stay in place and great pockets for my phone. The ultimate best is a great fit on my 5'11" frame. Thank you for making running pants for tall birds!

Almost there!

I snapped these tights up the minute Oiselle released them after years of hoping that they'd make some longer tights. There are some great features with these tights and overall they've been working well for cold, wet trail runs all fall and winter. So happy Oiselle started adding side pockets to tights! Perfect for phone, or quickly stashing wrappers and gloves. Nevertheless, they are still dang short! I don't think I have a crazy long inseam (I am 5'8"/sz 4) and they are still a solid 3"+ above my ankles. At one point I even measured them against another pair of regular length Oiselle tights that I have because I thought they might have been mislabeled. They would have been 10/10 if the inseam had been 28-29"
If you struggle with finding long enough running tights, take note of the inseam (26.75") so you know what to expect.
