I like the light weight and sweat wicking property of this fabric. The shirt runs a little shorter in the torso than other tops. I’ll probably order one size up next time but worry that it will be wider in the chest and waist than I like.
I have several flyouts from previous seasons (long sleeve, short sleeve and tanks). They’re my absolute, all-time favorite shirts for running—they’re super flattering, they feel like wearing nothing and they are versatile for a variety of weather conditions. Unfortunately, as other reviewers mentioned, the sizing and hemline are different for 2020. The fit is tighter which makes the amazing fabric feel scratchy. I bought a couple of the new version tanks earlier this summer, and I wish I hadn’t taken the tags off. I haven’t tried sizing up, because I’m afraid the body would be too long and not as flattering. Maybe Oiselle can rotate straight and rounded hems from year to year so everyone gets what they want?? :)
This was my first purchase in the flyout fabric and I was unsure what to think of it from photos. It became my go-to immediately. The fit is more flattering than many athletic shirts with sleeves. It is slightly see through in that if you are wearing a sports bra with a logo on it underneath you may very faintly be able to see the logo. Not at all and issue for me. This is an absolute winner!
I sized up from last year's version, went from a 10 to a 12, to give a little more mystery in the abdomen area. I like that the new straighter hemline is easier to layer with. Fabric is awesome as always, a bit delicate but worth it for how great it feels and performs. Hiked 20 miles over 2 days in 90 degrees with high humidity and was very happy to have this shirt! The Snap was brighter in person than I'd imagined, but dang does it glow bright even in the dimly lit dawn of my bathroom mirror. I've been so into O's other colors, I forgot hi-vis was a thing! And it can be cute too!!
Loyal Oiselle junkie here - have several SS and LS flyouts, love this fabric! The SS is perfect in So Cal for the hotter days and the LS is great for the cooler fall mornings. They are now running smaller!!! Both the SS and the LS that I purchased this year are much smaller throughout the trunk and tighter in the arms than my other tops. Had I known the cut was changed, I would have def sized up!!! I usually wear a size 8 in Oiselle tops and these are snug. (FYI, the same with the Roga shorts and the flyte SS - tanks seem to fit the same).
Flyout is my favorite fabric year around. I have several tanks and long sleeves. This was my first short sleeve. I always get a size 4, but I do wish I had sizes up in this shirt. I will definitely order again, but next time in a 6!
I have two of these in a size 4 and they fit me better than any active shirt I've ever owned. My only wish is that they had more colors. Can't we get some hunter greens, burnt siennas, plums, or grays?? Kind of tired of the neon melon trend.
I have a 4 in last years’s version and I love everything about it. I ordered a 4 again this year and after I wore it I realized it’s not as comfortable and is a much tighter fit. I then bought a 6 . It’s pretty much the same size as last year’s size 4 when hold them up to each other-but the 4 is actually a little longer than the 6!
I wish you wouldn’t change the sizing so drastically, or if you do that you’d let us know to size up from previous versions. For reference, I wear a 2 or 4 in all of my many Oiselle shirts.
