Do you have a quote that guides, inspires, or embodies your training/racing/life?
"Run Hard. Train Smart." This is my mantra and it is on my RoadID to remind me whenever I need the reminder.

Why do you run?
Running is my everything. It balances out my life, my mental health and makes me happy. There have been times where I haven't been able to run for weeks due to injury and I just feel unbalanced. There is no such thing as a bad run or a bad day to run, despite what it may feel like at the time. The toughest runs make me a stronger, more determined runner and teach me a thing or two about my character. I have learned so much about my personality and sheer determination as a result of my running. Running has skyrocketed my self-confidence and has led me to meet some of the most interesting people.

What is your favorite place to run?
I love running the streets of my hometown, that's where I first learned to love (and hate) running. I also love running along the water, whether an ocean, lake or river, it always feels peaceful and relaxing to me.

Running gear you can't live without?
I'd by lying if I didn't say my Garmin. I love my IPod shuffle because running and music are two of my favorite things in life. I also can't live without my sunglasses, Sweaty Bands, my many favorite Mizunos and of course, my Oiselle wardrobe!

What is your favorite local running store?
Soundrunner in Branford, CT.

When you're not running where would we find you?
Crossing things off my "life to do list", traveling to accomplish my goal of running a race in all 50 states, exploring new places and spaces and in general, trying to live life to the fullest.

What is your favorite post-race treat?
Frozen Yogurt, sweet potato fries or a coffee from Dunkin' Donuts.

Complete the sentence: If I was stranded in a hotel room with one movie and one book, they would be…
Love Actually and anything by Jen Lancaster.
