Rogas: The Shorts That Revolutionized Women’s Running

Back in 2004 we began the quest for a non-poofy pair of running shorts. We wanted shorts that were designed specifically for women and not simply an afterthought adaption of mens shorts. We wanted fitted, but not tight. We wanted a comfortable waistband that didn’t pinch or slip down. We wanted shorts that performed for long distances and stood up to the test of high intensity, but could still be worn confidently as we performed the busy tasks of day to day life.

Fast forward to 2006 and the first prototype of the Rogas was in our hands. In the years since, the Rogas have evolved with lighter fabric, improved waistband, additional pockets, lengths, and prints, but our goal remains the same—to design the best pair of women’s running shorts. With the variety in lengths and features we hope every woman can find their perfect pair because when legs go strong and fast, the heart goes free.

To celebrate the Roga Family, we asked our friends and teammates who love them most. Put to the test - for wear, tear, tumble and resilience - the community of women athletes wear them best! Paralympian, pushrim athlete, and Oiselle Haute Volée, Jenna Fesemyer, continues to pave the way and inspire the next generation of wheelchair athletes. She is committed to increasing access to adaptive sports, including access to equipment and training resources, and recently co-hosted a wheelchair clinic for young athletes in Columbus, Ohio.
