Cheeseburger, fries and a beer.
What is your must-have piece of running gear?
On race day it is a good pair of briefs. For regular runs it is a perfect pair of spandex: aka stride short minis!
Do you have a training philosophy?
Run hard on hard days and easy on easy days. It is ok to be tired, it is not okay to be lazy.
What is your favorite place to run?
In Akron, Ohio the Sand Run Metro Park or Lock 29.
Why do you run?
I love everything about it. From the burning in my legs to the people that are a part of the sport. Every fiber of my being loves running and racing for the raw beauty of it is.
What is your favorite workout?
Mile repeats. They are fast enough to make me feel like I am getting good turn over and long enough to make me really have to work!
What is your favorite activity, when not running?
Laughing with friends and family. I have twin toddlers now, so when I have someone to help me with them, I love it!

Zoolander cracks me up every time I watch it. For a book, The Giver. I love thinking of things beyond our typical scope of reality and seeing how they could be real and possible.
