Do you have a quote that guides, inspires, or embodies your training/racing/life?
"Winning has nothing to do with racing. Most days don't have races anyway. Winning is about struggle and effort and optimism, and never, ever, ever, giving up." - Amby Burfoot
Why do you run?
I run because it makes me feel peaceful and centered. It gives me a chance to be unwired from the computer, phone, and the fast-paced life. I also run because I feel a sense of community with my training partners and fellow runners that I share the sport with. I find my "happy" place where I run.
What is your favorite place to run?
In California, I love to run on the bluffs above of Capinteria State Beach. In Oregon, I love to run at Pre's Trail in Eugene.
What is your favorite local running store?
The Runner's Lane
When you're not running where would we find you?
When I am not running, you would most likely find me in my 4th grade classroom, at a spin class or hanging out with the Santa Clarita runners.
What is your favorite post-race treat?
Chocolate milk and Jelly Belly Beans.
