flyout bra

Product Details

Inspired by trail runners who complained of regular sports bra straps digging into shoulders (underneath hydration packs), the Flyout Bra was designed to solve for that, as well as provide better storage and support. A center back phone pocket is made of power mesh, secure and easy to access. The chest band is extra wide, as are the shoulder straps. The higher neck, and our Power Plya™ fabric come together to provide a more supportive bra for C/D cups as well.

- Power Plya (polyester/spandex)
- Plya Power Mesh lining
- new removable cup with more coverage
- mesh pocket at top of back fits phone
- compression level: 2

Great bra

Runs small compared to other Oiselle bras. I am a 32D and wear the 6 in this style. The 4 was impossibly snug. Bra is very comfortable and supportive without being super tight due to the fact the front is not too low. Kind of holds things in by decreasing bounce upward. I've found it much more supportive than other Oiselle bras. I've run up to 11 miles with no chafing. Phone doesn't bounce much at all in the pocket. Great option if your shorts don't fit a phone. The removable pads are not round so I have to fuss every time figuring out how they are supposed to go. Honestly would rather they were just round. If I ever run in just a bra, this will be the one I go reach for.

Does the JOB most bras won't do

I love this bra! I had to get another after wearing it a few times. I bought it for long runs but find myself always reaching for this one. I am a 32D/DD and found that a 6 fit perfectly.

Favorite bra of all time

I love this thing! It fits well, keeps the girls in, gives me a place to keep my keys and phone, and is modest enough that I can run in it with or without a shirt and not feel self-conscious. I am slowly working on buying it or convincing all of my friends and sisters to get this guy. Highly recommended! I am a 36B, 5' 7" and 150 lbs and chose an 8.

This is the perfect bra. I wear it as a top when it's hot out, and the back pocket is perfect for holding my phone on the go. I now see the hype and want it in ever color!

I'm so so excited about this bra. Most of my runs are not long enough to require wearing a running vest, but when trail running I really like to have my phone. Thanks for finally giving me that option, Oiselle! I'd love to see a tank version of this bra.

I sized up from my usual 6 to an 8.

Chafe alert, ultra runners

Took this bra out for a 35 mile training run and had a weird chafe spot right between my boobs at the bottom. Needless to say, a bra designed for ultra runners needs to not chafe during an ultra. Also, I found the fit to be a bit off. I love the idea of the wide, smooth straps that don't rub under a hydration pack, but ultimately nonadjustable straps mean it's going to ride high for some people, as it did for me.

dries so fast!

I am in shock at how quickly this bra dries! I had a triple workout the other day: 30 minutes of strength training, 8 miles outside (in the snow), and then a 5 mile run later in the day. My bra is usually drenched after the 1st run and I usually end up changing into a dry one before my 2nd run. But on this particular day, I was distracted after my 8 mile run and forgot to change out of my bra right away. It wasn't until hours later that I realized the reason I didn't change out of my bra right away was because it had dried so quickly and I didn't experience that icky, wet sports bra feeling.
The back pocket is pretty great except I have to use 2 hands to put my phone in the pocket. I can easily remove the phone from the pocket while running but I have to stop running to reinsert the phone. I think this might have to do with my lack of flexibility, though. I have never been able to reach around to my back very easily.
If you hate wet sports bras, try this one out. You will not be disappointed.
BTW, I ordered my usual size and had no problems with the arm holes being too small.

Sizing advice is wrong - don't go up a size!

This is a great bra - well constructed and the phone pocket is a great size. My review is based on the description on the website that advises you to order a size up. Unfortunately, I followed the website advice and ordered an 8 when I wear a 6. I am a 32-D in sports bras, and this bra is way too loose around the band. Not supportive at all and the bad creeps up under my chest. I ran in it a few times to give it a go, so cannot return it. Love Oiselle, just wish I had ordered my size instead of taking the recommendation from the website.

  • Well constructed. Great size for the phone pocket.
  • Size recommendations on the website are misleading.

Love this bra!

Holds my iPhone 6 with a big lifeproof box perfectly, no bounce!!! I've worn it over 5 times and I love how supportive it is. New favorite. Well done, Oiselle!

pocket luv - almost perfect

totally love this style! the pocket, especially for a big phone, is great. I don't even look at other sports bras anymore. if the next version comes in wazzie wool, with some easy closure on the pocket, (I've dumped my phone out on my head, and then onto the ground doing a sun salutation) I'll probably buy one for each day of the week. go oiselle! :)

  • cut, comfort, pocket
  • 1. material, wish it was wazzie wool. 2. pocket doesn't secure, which only matters when you flip upside down, and drop your phone on your head.

Love this bra

I bought this bra for the pocket on the back - I wanted something for those times I want to wear my pocketless running bottoms - but it is so much more than just the pocket. It keeps my girls firmly in place, no bouncing or chafing while running. I thought the pocket might be a little awkward to get my phone in and out of but it is really easy. The pocket is solid between the phone and your skin so your phone won't get all sweaty, which it has in some of my pockets on my tights.

Amazing design

Super comfortable and I love the phone pocket! My phone feels secure and the placement works well with wireless headphones. It means I don't have to look for running shorts with a big enough pocket to fit a phone in anymore, so good!

So comfortable and the pocket is a winner

This was my first Oiselle purchase as I had been looking everywhere for a bra with a pocket as I hate trying to carry a phone in shorts. This is perfect - so comfortable. No chafing and I have worn it on trail runs, competing in a half marathon, bike riding and bush walking. I am a 32B and a 6 was perfect (I’d usually be a 4 but took the advice to go up a size). I am so happy that I bought 2 - (was worth the shipping cost to Australia ). More colours please!

Finally a bra with a pocket!

I just received mine and am in love. It is so comfortable and fits like a glove. I could see how for some the arm holes could be snug, but mine fit perfectly after I sized up (from my usual 6 to 8, I’m 5’7” and a 36 B). The fabric is soft and I just wanted to wear it around the house all day. I ran 6 miles without trouble but have yet to try it with a hydration pack for a longer run. I could also see how for those with larger breasts sizing up could lead to it not being quite snug enough for support. Regardless I think it is a step in the right direction- more bras with storage pockets please!

Fly Out Bra

Overall the bra fit great. However the back pocket for cellphones was too loose. I was expecting the pouch to be tight so my phone would not bounce around. When I ran my phone bounced around. I tried running on grass and thankfully I did because the phone actually flew out.
I love the idea of it, but it did not work for me.

Too big and long

Love the idea of this bra, but it doesn’t provide high impact support and the straps are way too long. I bought a size larger than normal based on sizing recommendations, but returned it for my usual size but even that is too large. I’d exchange it again for yet another size smaller, but I already took the bra for a spin. Maybe next time around the sizing kinks will be worked out.

So close!

After reading other reviews and the description, I sized up one size. The fit through my chest was right, but unfortunately the arm holes were just a bit too small. The back coverage is very wide which made it awkward when my arms were swinging and I could easily see causing some chafing for longer runs/hikes. I really wanted to love this bra since the strap width would have made using a hydration pack a lot more comfortable. Oiselle - is there a way to keep the strap width and low profile but keep the classic bra fit?

Already back for my second one!

I bought this bra with some skepticism, but after wearing it on the trails yesterday, I'm over the moon. The back pocket fits my enormous 8+ and doesn't slide around at all. I ended up wearing this bra most of the weekend to run and do yoga, and it never felt uncomfortable. I wear a size 6 across Oiselle, but took the suggestion above and purchased the 8. I don't think the 6 would've fit, so I recommend going one size up. Please make more colors of this!

  • Everything, especially the fact that the phone pocket fits my enormous phone, unlike some phone pockets that only work for small phones

New favorite bra

I've worn this bra for a 14 mile long run and repeats at the track. My phone stays nice and snug in the back pocket. I'm going to be buying both colors! It does run slightly small, so if you're between sizes, go up one size. Fantastic piece to add to my running picks!

I was very excited to see this bra, as someone who still carries a phone for safety and entertainment on my runs. I like the Nike bra with a similar pocket on the back but would rather support Oiselle. I bought my usual size (4) and a size up (6). The 6 is more comfortable but the 4 works with the pads removed.

This is close to perfect. The pocket on the back is just mesh, not a stretch material, so it doesn't hold the phone in tightly (i.e., don't bend over and tie your shoes - you'll lose the phone). However the phone doesn't bounce during the run so it works for the intended purpose. I would also like if the bra was more crop-like and extended long-line down my ribs. Finally, because the back is so broad it is not racerback, but more crop-style, so if you're wearing a tank top it might look strange. The back also makes the arm holes tight (especially on the smaller size) so the possibility for chafing is high. Finally, the seams in front are fine, but not totally necessary.

This bra is for real!

This is the first review I have ever written and if I could give more than 5 stars then I would!! I was a little skeptical about the claims written about this bra. I wore it on my long run today with my Hydration vest and not one bit of chafing from the vest! I am amazed! If you run with a hydration vest you NEED this bra! I will be getting more
