Grab a jacket and go. Sometimes that need gets complicated... what weight, what size, will it fit over what you're wearing? This parka is designed to be the go-anywhere jacket that makes that decision less complicated. Pertex Microlight (also used in our Vim-Vigor styles) is water resistant, windproof, and ultra lightweight. Beneath is a new insulation for us, from the labs of Polartec. It's called Alpha Direct and it's a lightweight, fleecy liner that's designed to be next to skin, and easily handles heat and sweat. The generous hood is made customizable by the elastic and barrel closure. Two large zip pockets carry and secure items. But we saved the best for last: the pockets are lined with Lux, so each time you put your hands within, you'll find you never want to take them out. The overall fit is relaxed, easy to wear solo, or over other layers.

I've worn this jacket to run in single digits with 15-20 mph wind and it performed wonderfully with 1 shirt underneath. I was warm without being hot. The sleeves are a little long and the fit is a little loose, so you could add layers underneath. The hood also can be tightened to add extra warmth, and the zipper has a little bit of fabric to protect your face from the cold metal. I also wore it for a walk in 40 degree temps with light wind, and I wouldn't wear it to walk around if it's much colder.
I LOVE THIS COAT. I bought this prior to 2 weeks of travel that took me from the Colorado Rockies to Hawaii. This coat kept me warm in snow and wind (20-30°F), then packed down to the size of a pair of pants while I was backpacking in Hawaii. I love the over-sized hood and the longer torso. It feels so cozy! Now that I'm home in the Midwest, I wear the Wazzoh Parka in the wind/rain/cold when I'm cycling and I intend to wear it running when the temps drop into the single digits. It is super lightweight, durable, pack-able, breathable, comfy and warm. I cannot say enough good things about this coat! I am 5'8" and am between a XS/S 2/4 at Oiselle. I sized down to an XS because I wanted a cozy feel. I consider this true to size, since the description states it is a relaxed fit.
