First time to try the new style. Fit is off. Baggy around the trunk. I also prefer the scalloped edge of the original style. Color is gorgeous (Fir) and the material is my favorite for hot summer runs..
Love these tanks so far! They fit almost perfectly, and the colors are lovely (I have grounded/mizu and queen/empire). On hot, humid days, the fabric wicks sweat away without getting weighed down and sagging. I've worn this tank on runs from 30 to 80 mins, and I have been comfortable the whole time. As far as sizing goes, I have a flyout t-shirt from a couple years ago in size 6, but that shirt was always a bit tight so I sized up to an 8 getting these. I'm 5'2-3", 150-155 lbs, and an 8 is really comfortable.
Bought two of the new Flyout Tanks on sale for 50% off and could not wait to wear them. I had been wanting one of these tanks since they were first introduced. Unfortunately, the new tanks are not like the original version and worse, size 2 fit poorly on my frame, too long, gaped in the armpits and sort of hung weird. Sadly, they are now on there way back to Oiselle.
After several runs in this top (I really wanted to love it), I prefer the older version of the flyout tank. The length of this one seems to bunch up weird while running, and the fabric seems much more clingy and hotter. It’s still a fine tank to run in, but I wish I could find another old version.
EXTENDED SIZING review. I purchased long rogas and flyout tanks. I’ve include my review for both so you can string together an outfit. For reference I wear an 18 in jeans and 20 in dresses. I chose size 20/22 because I measure for a 24/26 for my waist and 16/18 for my hips, so I decided on meeting in the middle and going for 20/22 for the tops and bottoms. I will keep everything but next time I may go for the 24/26 for tops. I wish the tops were slightly longer. The shorts are perfect. Highly recommended! 💕🙌🏼 Pictures include a closeup of the fall floral next to the queen color. I may also purchase the green(Shelly) color to go with the fall floral print. The other set is the cirrus print and crackle.
I wanted to try this tank because of the great reviews. It is a nice material and super lightweight. When I went for a run, this tank rode up my torso exposing my stomach. I did not like that very much. It is long enough when not running. Not sure why this happens but it was frustrating to keep pulling my shirt down.
I have multiple Flyout tops and love the fabric - it’s pretty magical in the heat and it’s also great for rainy PNW runs. I’m not in love with the fit changes though. This one gapes in my armpits and is snug around my hips. It’s almost like it flares out at the armpit and there’s an extra inch of fabric. Please bring back the old fit and the scalloped bottom - it was way more flattering in past seasons!
I now own almost every color of this tank and the same shirt in long sleeve. I love the fit and comfort of this tank. It is perfect for just walking around a town or running. I always am comfortable running in this tank no matter how humid the day is. I wear a 10 in this shirt and it fits great. For reference I am a 36D so need the 10 for the chest but the rest fits perfectly. No bagging.
