Q & A
What is your favorite quote that guides, inspires, or embodies your training/racing/life?
"What would you do if you knew you could not fail?"
What was your favorite sport in middle school?
Gymnastics, I wanted to pour my heart into being incredible at something and the things I read and watched about gymnasts showed the day in, day out hard work to achieve their goals. I kinda wasn't good at it...at all. But I found something I could pour my heart into the same way!
Can you share your first sports bra experience?
K-mart all white hand me downs from my sister. I had 2 and I ran in them until the holes were too obvious.
What is your absolutely favorite piece of #flystyle and why?
Lesko bra, I don't notice anything about it. Fits perfect. I smile when I have clean ones!
If you could give one piece of advice to a 12 year old girl, what would it be?
Your dreams exist for a reason. That gut feeling that you can do something incredible is real. Chase your goals even if everyone says they are crazy. Be a student of what it takes to achieve your goals. You are good enough.
Tell us about your favorite place you have ever traveled to:
Ecuador. I lived and worked in small communities within Quito and seeing the way they supported one another was awe inspiring. I love people even more than I love running!
What alternative career do you fantasize about?
I'm truly living my dream being able to make running a priority, but I would enjoy a career in psychology.
What is your superpower?
I don't know when to quit. I've heard it's a blessing and a curse?!? Haha. But seriously, I'm not afraid of working hard and that's been huge in many aspects of my life.
