Aviary Cap Sleeve Crew

I'd been eyeing this shirt for a while because I'm a huge birder, and finally purchased two when they went on sale, despite having issues with Oiselle clothing not fitting me well. The good - the print is beautiful, vibrant, and fun (I didn't realize that each bird also has a nickname printed below the official name), the fabric is amazingly soft, and I really like the cap/raglan sleeves.

The not so good - if I went by traditional women's sizing (with the expectatation of everything fitting tightly), I'd usually be a large (5'4" and 150 lbs), but I always size up to an XL because I like my tops to be a little more spacious. The XL in this shirt fits like a snug large, which I assumed would be the case since Oiselle clothing runs small. However, it's also cut pretty straight up and down, so it pulls across my hips and chest (and I'm a B cup so the latter is not usually a problem for me). Also, the print is thick and plastic-y feeling, which detracts from the comfort of the thin material, and feels awkward if I'm I'm wearing it around the house without a bra. I decided to keep them because the images are so wonderful and I still enjoy wearing them, but really wishing that Oiselle would adjust the fit of their shirts so that they work better for people with curvy hips. And I wish they'd offer larger sizes in all of their clothing to compensate for things running small.

LOVE this tee. I had a promo code so I purchased all three colors. The beautiful artwork and silky material make this a new favorite. Love the cap sleeves. Because I want the versatility if being able to wear this running, to the gym, and as casualwear, I sized up to a medium. I typically wear a Small (5'6", 130 lbs, 36-28-36), but since the fabric has a nice drape, it looks great.

Nice material. Feels great. Not too loose, not too tight. I'm 5'1, 110 lbs, athletic build, and size XS fits just right.

This shirt is made for tiny people. I don't understand why we are expected to wear super tight stuff for working out, I really don't. I had a gift card from Christmas and was honestly just looking for something to use it for and thought these birds were cute. I'm 5'10" and 200 lbs...I'm obviously not a small person but I'm proportionate for my build and not obese. I usually wear a large but sometimes opt for XL in order to not have a super tight fit. I ordered this in XL and it honestly looks like a medium. Rather than return it I'm just going to give it away to a friend who normally wears a medium. Pretty disappointing as this is cute. The stuff on this site is generally nice looking but I don't think I'll be returning as a customer anytime soon due to the sizing issues. No thanks.
