BRING BACK THE FLYTE!

The Flyte Short Sleeve is perhaps the greatest layering piece ever made. It skims the body, so it does not bunch underneath a race vest. It does not create weird, baggy wrinkles when you have to pull a wool LS over it during a long race or mountain run. It breathes incredibly well. And it's long enough to cover my belly (I am long-waisted). Most of the other Oiselle shirts are cropped or boxy, and are not long enough for my torso, so they slide up under a race pack and I get back chaffing. This piece fills a unique niche in the Oiselle lineup and is perhaps the most important summer mountain running layer. I strongly encourage Oiselle to put it back in the lineup. It can't be beat.

Have Flyte shirts changed?

I ordered a short sleeved Flyte shirt recently to replace an older one, excpeting the same item. The new shirt is much thinner in fabric weight, and tends to be sheer when stretched. I don’t know if this is an intentional change by Oiselle but I prefer the thicker (higher quality) fabric.

Most versatile shirt I own

The Flyte short (and long) sleeve shirts have turned into my go-to for almost every run. I spend a lot of time in the mountains where layering is essential. The fit of these shirts make them ideal under a long sleeve or mid layer. Plus they look great on their own. They wick well, they fit great, they have enough neck and sleeve to protect you from vest chafing on long runs. I'm ashamed of how many colors I have. Yet hoping Oiselle puts out more this summer!
