Love Nyelle fabric for this style

I have the Pocket Jogger shorts which are also made with Nyelle fabric. For me, that is the fabric type that stays in place the most compared with the Plya fabric. All the styles I have tried made with Plya are too loose and legs ride up more. The new Firecracker shorts come up very high, especially since I have a shorter torso. These straightaway shorts have the perfect rise for me- still higher but not too high. I tend to wear tight shorts when the weather cools off and I love how the Nyelle feels warmer but not too warm. This style is a great fit on me. 5'4", 110 lbs. Purchased size 2.

My go to racing short

I needed a pair of racing shorts for my club team and these fit the bill for me. I have two pairs, Ink Blue and Black, that I typically wear for racing but I've also worn them for my long runs and workouts. While I do see the need for the added silicone inside around the thigh to stay down, I personally haven't had an issue with the legs riding up during racing or workouts. For shorts that are about 3.25" inseams I think they are pretty comparable to similar versions I have from Under Armour and Adidas. I would argue they are better than the Brooks comparison, which do ride up on me. My favorite feature is the pocket in the back and the waistband. The pocket is great for holding keys or gels when I'm out for a longer effort. I also love the waistband as it doesn't pinch my sides. I feel like I'm well supported. If you haven't needed the silicone grip in past shorts, I would say these are a great short for you! If you feel like you need that extra grip, the Pocket Jogger might be more up your alley.

Not great for running

These work great for cross training, but roll up when on a run. Need a little bit of grippy silicone inside, but also stretch out a bit too quickly (probably from me yanking them down) so that might not help. Great for cross training. The zip pocket in the back actually fits my phone so would have loved them to work out.

Fine, but not great

I like these shorts well enough, but don't love them. I bought them as what I hoped would be a slightly longer version of the O-Mazing minis, but found these to be a bit loose and non-compressive in comparison. For reference. I'm 5'4" and 115 pounds. I ordered sizes 2 and 4, and could barely get the size 2 over my hips. These shorts are ever so slightly ribbed (maybe why they're looser?), and they're very high waisted, giving them more of a 90s bike shorts vibe rather than a running vibe. So far I've worn them for 12 miles of moderately sweaty running, and they didn't ride up too much, but definitely got a little bunchy. Sizing down might help, if you can get them on. There's a gusseted crotch, but the way it fits me there's still a bit of an unfortunate camel-toe situation. The pockets are rad. The back pocket fits a 4oz water bottle or my phone, with room to spare, but no bouncing. The side pocket holds my keys tight enough that they don't jingle. Ultimately these will probably be better for lounging or yoga than running. I probably wouldn't keep them if I didn't have to. I'd give them 3.5 stars, but rounded up because they're pretty comfy.
