O-MAZING STRIDE SHORTS
Made from our Plya Compression (popularized in Spandos Capris), this go-to compression short is made of interlock fabric, known for being lightweight, compressive, and very soft/smooth. Its unique knit structure also prevents sheerness. The Birds Everywhere print is yarn dyed so there is no white yarn show-through. Our 360 waistband pocket goes all the way around, and is ample enough to hold everything from keys to fuel to a phone.
- Plya Interlock (polyester / spandex)
- interior drawcord
- 360 waistband pocket
- 4.75" inseam (all sizes)
Pockets galore and wide thick fabric provides subtle, gentle compression on belly. This makes for smooth lines and comfort. Please make more in size 4. So sad that they are out of stock. I'm glad I at least have 1 pair to love.

These fit comfortably super smooth and soft with no tight waist band and spot on for my usual size 6. The pockets are awesome - they hold a lot, easy access. The only issue is they roll up. I'd say they 'ride' up but really, they roll. I have experienced what others have where shorts in similar styles ride up at first a little, then calm down and stay put once you've been running a bit. But these rolled (up as high as booty shorts) right away and never stopped doing it. I'll see how they do in the gym but they definitely won't be worn for running.
At first I loved these shorts, and they were great for a few 5-8 mile runs here in Miami where it is extremely hot and humid during the summer. I actually found the pockets perfect for holding my gels and didn't have any issues with them. They won't hold things vertically, but horizontally it's fine. However on my last 10 miler in extreme heat/sweaty conditions the chafing was so horrible I don't think i'll be able to wear them for a long run again. And I did use body glide. The inner seam is just way, way too thick. Not a great design. I am usually a 2/4 but got a 4, and after a couple uses they seem a little stretched out. I would like to see if the issue is solved by getting either a 2 or trying the mini, but with the return policy as it currently is, I don't want to spend more money returning things that don't fit. I did try both the regular and mini at first and thought the mini was riding up too much, so I returned it. Hope Oiselle reconsiders this policy in the future in favor of free returns.
I’m so glad I ordered these! The pocket could be better but honestly I have an iPhone XS Max and it didn’t fall out so I’m not complaining. These didn’t ride up on me at all, they are going to be my go-to long run shorts from now on, thanks Oiselle!
I agree with the other reviews that the pockets are terrible and don't hold items well. However, the shorts did not ride up for me. They were comfortable, lightweight, and move well. I enjoy these overall, but my favorite shorts from Oiselle are still the pocket joggers.
I love the color and the material, unfortunately, they ride up immediately. Like a other reviewer wrote, I felt the same, that they would have stayed out once they got sweaty. It just got worse. There’s no grip on the bottom to hold them. I kept them for casual wear around the house. Disappointed.
These were a complete fail for me. Rode right up on first stride, couldn’t even make it out of my driveway! I was surprised to hear others did not have this problem. They were beautiful and I wanted them to work! Sadly I had to return.
I have the original version of these and just bought a new pair! They are my favorite for running and really most types of workouts. The fit is comfortable and enough coverage and the pockets are clutch. They also don’t ride up or chafe!
