FIRECRACKER REFLECTIVE 3/4 TIGHTS
The length (3/4), the convenience (two side pockets), the safety (reflective birds and geometric lines), and the tried and true body fabric (Plya Interlock) makes the Firecracker Tights a fun, fierce, fiery staple for year-round running. The reflectivity, in a premium all-over print, is bright and long lasting! So leap, jump, run into those dark hours. You will be seen.

These are really nice tights for dark mornings! I wear a headlamp, too, but I feel extra visible in these. I also feel sleek. The fabric is substantial without being heavy, and I don't notice the seams at all. I'm 5'5", 130, with relatively short legs and got the size 6. These come to about 2 inches above my ankles - a little longer than I anticipated, but OK. My only hesitation about recommending these is that the waist elastic is snug and noticeable when I first put them on, while the ankle cuffs are a little loose. I don't notice either once I get moving, but I also haven't worn them for more than 90 minutes at a time. I don't think I would risk wearing these for a hard, long effort where the tight waist might make things unpleasant.
I LOVE these tights. I purchased them for the reflective aspect, which is awesome, but the true bonus for me is the fit. I was so excited when I tried them on...finally a pair of 3/4 length tights that are actually 3/4 length on longer legs (usually 3/4 length ends up fitting like knickers on me). The pocket is in a great location to keep your phone secure without pulling down the tights. These are a great early morning running tight to transition from fall to winter. So glad I purchased these!
These leggings are great—light weight but still warm enough for cooler days. Side pockets are roomy and lay close to the body. The reflective pattern is subtle but really lights up and makes me feel safe and visible on those early morning/after dark runs. My only complaints are that there’s no back stash pocket for keys/credit card/small items and it’s essential to size down. The waistband is snug but the pants still feel somehow loose and move when I run. I wanted to exchange once I realized this (which could only happen w actual use) but that wasn’t possible.
I feel so visible in these for my morning runs. I first bought them in the black cirrus print, then added a pair of black flying bird print. The fabric seems to be a bit heavier in the cirrus print, but that may just be the added reflectiveness. I've worn them in 34 degrees up to 50 degrees and have been comfortable. I appreciate the pockets and find that they work great while running and don't pull the leggings down. I'm 5'5", 120 lbs and the 2 fits perfectly. They felt a little snug at first, but are great once I'm moving.
Absolutely love these tights! Super reflective! They are flattering and feel great. Posting 2 pictures to show the real life difference with the reflectiveness (my daughter’s room!). I always like it when other people post their pics too.
Someone else recommended sizing down and I SO glad I did! Based on the size chart I should be a 10 - 32”waist, 41” fullest butt/hips. 6’ 165 lbs My other Oiselle legging 10’s are too loose so I gambled with the 8. Much better!! An 8 fits snug like I would expect running leggings to fit. (My Oiselle Aero’s size 10 fit like a leisure legging)
I ran 6 miles this morning and they stayed perfectly in place. Waist is snug but comfortable.
Would LOVE to see Oiselle come out with a more sculpting tight. At 49 years old and down 60 lbs, sculpting tights are pretty high on my list of life essentials! In the last year I have purchased a big variety of Oiselle products - pretty much abandoning other brands....with the exception of leggings. These tights would be 100% perfect with a little more compression. As it is...a 90%. Still would buy again and highly recommend.
BTW the sleeves are awesome- you should order those and the headband too!
The good: super bright!
The not-so-good: Doesn't seem to be the same color as pictured; the fabric feels flimsy and is clingy in a way that's not flattering. Worst VPL I've had in a pair of running tights in a long time
The Ugly: The pocket situation. The side pockets are the absolute WORST. For almost $100 you'd hope you could get a zippered pocket but nope! And anything you put in them will poke out a way that looks tacky as hell and is super unflattering. Also don't recommend if you're in any way sensitive about how wide your hips are.
These will not be my go-to, top of the list, tights for running, however, I am keeping them because the reflectiveness is awesome! The reason they are not my favorite is the fit. I am 5ft, 130lbs, so petite and curvy. I bought a size 6 which is the size I normally wear in other running brands. The top of the waistband waist is very restrictive and digs into my waist while I run. However, the legs are oddly baggy at the bottom (this may be because of my height and they don't make petites...). Since it has a drawstring I'm not sure why they made the waistband so restrictive. But I can handle some uncomfort to not get run over by a car while I'm running. :)
I love the Firecracker pants. I got a 10 and I'm 5'4" 160lbs. They fit perfect, even maybe a little loose in the waist and around the calves. Since I'm short, they're more like full-length leggings which is what I prefer anyway! My only gripe with these is that you can definitely see through them in the Crackle/orange color. I have black underwear on and it's not just a "when I bend over" situation - it's a "while I'm standing just looking in the mirror." I'll just wear nude underwear with these because I love them so much but just buyer beware!
