BIRD HUG LONG BRA
This bra was inspired by our original Spandos Jane Bra, a best-seller for its high level of support and style. We turned it way up this season by bringing it back in Bird Hug AND Moody Floral. The extra wide chest band creates a solid, no slip foundation. The front panels are double lined and shaped, with removable cups. To top it off, we added wide, brushed elastic straps that are adjustable and convertible, to straight or cross back. Note that this style is not reversible.
- bird hug fabric (polyester / spandex)
- wide chest band for support + comfort
- convertible, adjustable straps
Hi. Please make this in ALL the patterns and colors. The wideband makes for comfortable all-day use. I'm not sure I'd run with it, but I'd do everything else including yoga, kid wrangling, hiking, lifting, work calls, kayaking…
I feel confident and stylish and will be looking for more colors to come out to complete my summer wardrobe.
Just chiming in as someone on the larger end of the boob spectrum! I'm a 34D and I ordered this (in a medium, for anyone looking for a size reference) just to see if it would work on me as a lounge or yoga bra; I didn't expect to be able to run in it. And it works GREAT. It's comfy, the adjustable straps work beautifully, and the cups are the perfect size. To my surprise, it's supportive enough that I think I *would* be comfortable running in it, though probably only with a shirt--there's a little bounce and a little cleavage.
The band is slightly loose on me, but it doesn't look gap-y, and the cups are so well made that it is still extremely supportive. About to order the other color!!
So so so comfortable! I'm around a 34B/32C and I just wish I would have gone with a medium, the small is just a tad too tight and I didn't figure that out until I wore it.
More colors, please, I’m begging you.
This is my favorite bra to run in. I raced a very hilly and humid half in it and felt great the whole time. I have a wider rib cage and I’m not super well-endowed, somewhere between a 34B and 32C. A lot of sports bras with a separate elastic band are too tight in the ribs or too loose in the chest- this is just right for me in a S (usually a 4 when I buy O bras).
It’s soft, it’s the right thickness even if it’s hot out, and it’s long enough to wear with something high-waisted if, like me, you love a crop top and you love to pretend your running attire is also casual wear. The modesty pads are the right size but it’s somehow thick enough to provide coverage without.
I can’t overstate this- it’s perfect.
This is a fantastic bra! I adore the Spando Jane bras (and own many of them) so I was really excited to see this bra drop. It has become my fall/winter staple for being supportive, adjustable, cute, and warm on rainy, cold days. I am a 32B and purchased a small. It has a bit more coverage than the Spando Jane bras. I really like that I can adjust the straps to be regular or cross back.
I really like the longline silhouette of this bra, and the fit is sufficiently compressive for me (as a 34-very small-B). The material is also buttery soft and feels good. My one complaint is that one of the straps is sewn on backwards.
I love the long-line silhouette for bras, and the old Spandos bras were my favorites, so I was happy to see this shape making a comeback in a similar material. The long shape makes this more of an actual crop than the Blackbird bra is. The bird hug material is also very soft and comfortable while still being sufficiently compressive. I can't speak for how this bra would work for anyone with a larger chest, but I'm a 34B (on the smaller end of the B range), and the size small fits me great. The level of support is good, and the straps stay put and don't dig in or bother me. My only complaint is that one of the straps is sewn on backwards, which might just be a defect on the one that I received rather than the whole lot, but who knows. I would still recommend this bra for sure. I really hope that it comes out in more colors/prints in the future!!
