I really have no use for tights as I live in sunny, hot and HUMID Florida. Even in our "winter" (all three weeks), I still run in shorts and my wazzie wool long sleeve. However these babies are a dream come true. For starters, who doesn't love pockets. The length is great for me. I'm only 5'3" and there is only a tad of scrunch at the ankle. The only thing that would make these perfect is if Oiselle added the same pockets as they have on the Mac Toolbelt Rogas... Otherwise...Perfection. I got a size 4. 5'3" 130lbs. My next pair will be a 2 as I find these kind of droop throughout the day.
I love these but I wish they were a little longer. I'm only 5'4" but I'd like these better if they were about an inch longer. The side pockets are great for a cell phone, they're in the perfect place and the tights are snug enough that the phone doesn't pull the tights down as you run. I have the shorts too and have loved them for a couple of years. At 5'4" and 140 the size 8 is perfect. I'd say the sizing is a bit large -- my extra weight is around my belly and these don't fall down for me like they do for some other reviewers. I've been recommending these to all of my active friends.
Just received these leggings today and thy are my new favorites, don’t want to ever take off tights. They are soft and snug without being restricting. Lots of pockets which I love!! Will be buying in more colors. I’m 5’4 128lbs athletic build and size 4 fits perfect!
I have tried to love Oiselle bottoms. But I can't. I have now purchased 3 pairs of tights and one pair of the Lux Track Pants. All are quite large. I am 5'5" with a 26" waist and 35" hips. I should fall squarely into the Small category. The track pants are absurdly large and all of the tights perpetually fall down, despite very aggressive use of the the infinity band. They also sag at the knees and the high rise tights sag at the crotch as well. Consequently, I always feel the clothing on me when I run, and I'm making constant, and annoying, adjustments. If you look at Oiselle's size scale - they do not make clothing for a small. It overlaps with the medium. So the smalls really cover two size ranges. Given how many sizes Oiselle offers, and that the company is all about making clothing for women, I implore them to stop with the "one size fits small" mentality and actually scale this properly. Until then, I'm done trying to make their clothing work and sticking to pants that stay in place. I do give them three stars for a nice design, great pockets and fabulous fabric. It just ends up around my ankles.
These are my favorite leggings for lounging around and also for weight lifting. They were a little thicker than expected but that’s not a problem. They have great pockets and a super flattering design. I hope they come out with more colors! A heather grey or a purple would be great (:
My favorite tights in any brand, for running, travel, or lounging. They look great, are super comfortable, and hold up well to running. The waist band did slip down a few times, but the drawstring cord solved that.
Size reference: 5’8, 130lbs ordered a size 4. Ordered these for the pockets and just my general love of Oiselle and overall am still happy with my purchase, but am disappointed in how much the mid-rise waist slides down. Was hoping to load these pockets up for a marathon in June and even just having my phone in the back waist pocket they start to slide down quite a bit. Even with the draw string synched all the way down. Definitely won’t be able to add nutrition to the hip pockets or wide mesh pockets and make it even 5 miles, let alone 26. I had a size 4 in the pocket jogger full tights and the high waist fit great, hoping triple threat can get to that fit. The angled cut of the bottom of the tights is cool as well, but definitely doesn’t fit great and flares out kind of awkwardly on me. Overall happy, still a Oiselle fangirl through and through, just had higher hopes for the fit of this spendy tight!
I bought these leggings in the hopes that I would be able to use the back pocket for my phone and not have to wear a running belt.
Unfortunately, as soon as I start moving, the waistband starts migrating down. I have to stop every mile or so to hike them up, or tie the drawstring uncomfortably tight just to keep them up. Neither option makes these comfortable for a long run. Putting anything in the back pocket makes the sagging worse, and the front pockets are not secure enough for a phone during a run, so I'm back to wearing a running belt or holding my phone anyway.
The color (Grounded), fabric, and style really is quite nice, so I will give these 3 stars for the quality alone. The fit is also perfect. These will be okay for going to the grocery store or whatever, but I'm pretty disappointed that I spent almost $100 on running tights that don't work to run in.
