O-MAZING LONG SHORTS
Long and lovely. And maximally pocketed. Wear testers have firmly stated that O-Mazing is Ah-Mazing. Of course, it always starts with fabric. Nyelle™ is the wonder fabric of compressive softness - that also endures like no other. That makes this a do-anything, run-anywhere, squat any level, jump everywhere shorts. Who loves it long? Long shorts lovers, get in here.
- Nyelle Compression (nylon/spandex)
- interior drawcord
- mid-rise waistband
- pockets all around waist
- 9" inseam (size 4)
I bought a pair of these last year and they quickly became my favorite everything shorts. Perfect for running, plain enough to wear around town with casual clothes, and the pockets are great.
I decided to get a second pair during a sale and bought an 8 (my usual/previous size). They feel a full size smaller than the ones I own, and pretty snug around the waist. There's a chance last year's pair just stretched out a lot (and I'm keeping this pair and hoping they'll stretch—easier than returns during COVID precautions), but my recommendation is to size up.
Despite the size issues, still my favorite shorts.
Love these shorts! They never, ever ride up (usually an issue for me) and the pockets are awesome. I have worn these for my long training runs while training for a 50K without chafing or issues.
These are seriously my new favorite shorts. I always have trouble with my shorts riding up on the legs/thighs or falling down on my waist/crotch but these stayed in place so well without being too tight or sticking to my skin. I didn't have to pinch or pull them on, the fabric is a nice spandex blend that's breathable. The waistband pockets are a good size for keys and phone. I am 5'10 170 lbs and got a size 8, they fit really nicely, not too long. I ordered black and dark blue, neither shows sweat noticeably (dark blue a little but not bad).
I did a 12 mile trail run in the shorts today and had 2 gels and my small apple cellphone in the pockets. Next run I will include chapstick and Kleenex... I wonder if I could put a water flask in there? The shorts did not sag. Couldn’t believe it. I wore a size 8, 145 lbs. My waist is slightly bigger... maybe that helped... but now I want all the colors.
I love these shorts! Great length and they stay put through miles and miles. The pockets along the waistband are secure, easy to access, and my phone never moves. Size 10.
As a runner who prefers longer shorts to cover a multitude of issues and help with thigh chafing, I struggle to find any at all and have settled for many that barely work (they ride up, they slide down, they are too thick, too thin, etc.) and then I found the O-Mazing Long Shorts. The fabric is fantastic, the length and it's staying power are perfect and the pockets put them over the top for me. Running belts don't work with my wide hips - they slide up and I end up spending half my run pulling them down and generally fussing with them - but with these Oiselle shorts, I can have my phone (hello Spotify running lists!), a couple tissues and a key. I don't even notice that I'm carrying a bit of weight. I like the idea of side pocket shorts, but they pull down on the side where I stash my phone - that's not an issue at all with the O-Mazing Shorts as my phone sits perfectly in the small of my back and doesn't move an inch! My only fear is that I love them so much Oiselle will discontinue them. Please keep this important product for those of us who need/want a little extra coverage!!
I absolutely love these shorts. The length is perfect with no chafing problems. And can we talk about how awesome the pockets are? I typically run with a belt to hold my phone but my phone fits perfectly in the built-in storage pockets. The material is thick enough to not be see-through but a comfortable weight.
I feel compelled to write this review because I normally skip over longer shorts, but these were given to me and I tried them and they win the award for not even remotely riding up. They stay exactly where you put them when you put them on, they are compressive in a comforting way if that makes sense. The fabric is so soft on the skin. I find I’m reaching for them on cooler mornings now, on days I would have previously struggled with “is it a shorts or capris run?” People love the pocket waistband too, but I don’t get as excited about that level of pockets for my needs. I wondered if the special pocket waistband would feel like overkill for someone not optimizing it, but its basically there if you want it and you forget about it if not, which is great.
