2020 ELITE SHORTS
These new shorts are quite fast - and no less functional. Designed to match the Runway Crop in the "Feather" print, they are the same as what's worn by our pros. In addition to a streamlined front, with wide waistband, the shorts also have a large mesh pocket along the back waistband, ideal for gels, fuel, or other light items. These are the shorts...for going fast AND far!

New favorite running shorts. The length is good, the waistband is super comfortable, the fabric is great, and the pattern is cute. :) If I were being super demanding I'd say it would be nice to have a zipper pocket for my key during swim-run races (which I know is a really niche use case), but the existing pocket works awesome for everything else. Overall, super stoked on these!
Wore these for the first time today, for an 11 mile run, and they were perfect! No adjusting, no riding up, no movement at all. My phone in the back pocket bounced a bit at first, but adjusting the drawstring fixed that right away. Seriously, make more of these shorts, please!
I've taken these out on two >2-hour runs now, including one during a recent heat wave, and they don't chafe even 2 hours into a sweaty run. The material and liner feel sturdy, and I love how wide the waist band is. They ride up a bit for the first few minutes, but as soon as I'm a little sweaty I can pull them down and they stay in place. I wear a size 4 in rogas and size 6 in stride shorts; I ordered a size 6 in these and they fit right for me: snug, but not at all compressive (I'm 5'7" 140lb). If you want compressive err on the smaller side.
Perfect for running! Make more in more colors! Better than the mini. The wider band around the leg hole keeps if from rolling & riding up (unlike the mini which is as disappointed with.)
Another shorts review where I'm dealing with ride up....
Not sure if it's a sizing consistency issue or if O is just trying to make me feel fat, but as someone who has found success in wearing S and 2-4 in other O styles, I'm surprised I would need to size up this drastically on a tighter fitting style. And even then, who knows if that would solve the ride up issue.
You don't know if a short is going to ride until you take it on a real run, so basically I'm doomed to buy shorts that fail the run test that I can't return since I've worn them.
Nearing the point of fed up—this just may be my final O purchase.
I've been running for over 18 years and these are without a doubt the best shorts I've run in. They are comfortable, breathable and not too thin. They are also a great length without riding up. To echo other reviews, I hope Oiselle makes more pairs in different colors.
Please make these exact shorts in more colors- and would love options for solid colors! Just ran my workout in them this morning in 71 DP/ 80degrees and they were fantastic. They feel amazing, didn't ride up at all, and I love how they feel on my skin. I would love to have more of these! Thanks!! :)
Such great shorts! Just wore them for hot, sweaty 8 mile run. Initially they slipped up a bit but not anything uncomfortable or strange looking (my legs are by no means thin - they are pretty muscular) but after I started to sweat I was able to adjust them back down and they stayed in place perfectly. True to size. I’m a solid size small in Oiselle brand and that is what I ordered in them and fit perfectly. If they had other colors I’d order more! They are super soft too and have a nude liner in them. Get them!!
