In the Northwest, where any-day-can-be-April-showers, we know rain, we know wind, and we solidly love vests. Vests are best, and it’s easy to know why: they are that single, easy on piece that protects your core from the elements while the rest of your body runs free. The fit of this vest is relaxed, with a tall stand up collar, and zip pockets for your hands plus a small zip stash pocket at the chest.

Also available as the April Showers Anorak.

- polyester
- two front zip hand pockets
- chest zip pocket
- packable into chest pocket
- adjustable hem with barrel closure
- 24.75" front body length (size small)
- 26.25" rear body length (size small)

Tight in chest

I am 5'7", 145-150 lbs, 34B and regularly fit size 6/size S Oiselle tops. The vest was tight in the chest with a thin running shirt underneath. I could zip up fine but I would have liked some freedom for my shirt to breathe under the vest. The rest of the vest actually fit perfectly and was quite roomy. I was expecting the opposite to occur - better fit on top and tighter around the stomach (I have a "pooch" after 3 kids). I would have exchanged for a M but they were out of stock in the print (Daring Dots) I wanted.

Great Vest

I have worn this in a light shower on a warmer day to keep my core dry. It is also great on a windy day as an extra blocking layer. The jacket fits true to size. I am a large or size 10 top and ordered a large and it fits perfectly. I am endowed and there was enough room and the jacket is comfortable.

sizing not match sizing chart

I received an XL as a gift. I have a 44" chest (thanks, Mom). The XL size range, per the size chart, is 44-47." I could just zip the vest closed, and it is tight. I measured the garment and discovered that the chest measurement for the vest is 44", thereby not even accommodating the bottom of the range it purports to accommodate.

beautiful layering piece

Sometimes you just need an extra layer for your core. This is great. Lightweight, good in the wind and for light rain. Beautiful.

Pattern make me happy, but runs big

I was immediately taken with the flower pattern and do love it, but be warned--it runs large! I still kept it, because it isn't so large that I feel silly, but if I could go back, I would have gone a size down.

Vest perfection

I was skeptical about how useful a thin water-resistant vest could be, but now I finally understand - it is the ultimate outerwear for drizzly late winter/spring runs in the Pacific Northwest. I think it resists water even better than the vim/vigor material, for reference. If rain is in the forecast during your training schedule this is super easy to pop on for an extra layer of warmth & weather protection without overheating. I love how tiny it packs up, it's super easy to stash if it turns out I don't need it. A wazzie wool layer underneath may be the magic combo for wet running comfort.
