One of the keys to a positive running experience when you’re traveling is to plan ahead. Pregaming, as I sometimes think of it, is less important if you’re in a casual place with your training and can just go out for a few miles without having to worry about hitting paces or mileage. In this case, I’ve had good experiences with asking the locals; by locals, I mean the host of my B&B or the front desk at the hotel. Did you know that Westin hotels have a Running Concierge—someone whose job is to recommend routes for hotel guest. Local running stores are also a good resource! But there’s also something to be said for just hitting the road and following where the mood might take you (just be careful to pay attention to your surroundings so that you can find your way back—trust me on this one!)
Surprise party! Unveiling all the new feels like being shot out of a confetti canon, in a cloud of color and newness. Like every season, this one has been 1+ year in the making, starting with dreaming and drawing and coming to completion with finished garments we can’t wait to get on our bodies.
