SUPPORTING A COMMUNITY WITH MUTUAL AID

SUPPORTING A COMMUNITY WITH MUTUAL AID

You’ve heard us say Community is Everything and for some, this community is literally right outside their doorstep. With the pandemic causing quarantine restrictions and loss of jobs, we’ve seen Mutual Aid neighborhoods across the country coming together to support those in their local communities. Our NYC Volée leader, Daniela Alvarado shares her experience on how a Mutual Aid program was set up and functions in her Upper West Side neighborhood.

SPARK IN THE DARK

SPARK IN THE DARK

We're out here for good. And we're going to keep running - even in, and maybe especially because of, the dark. So let's circle up, stick together, and be safe. Be safe and be seen. Keep your light shining bright... on tops, bottoms, your head. Everything, everywhere. Because dark be damned, we're not going back inside. We're going to keep running, keep flying - today, tonight, forever.

THE KEY TO MASTERS RUNNING - FLEXIBILITY

THE KEY TO MASTERS RUNNING - FLEXIBILITY

THE RUNAWAY BRIDE IN 2020

THE RUNAWAY BRIDE IN 2020

The Runaway Bride dress was a classic Sally B. idea: an athletic bridal dress that could be worn for those during-marathon wedding moments. After the dress helped put Oiselle on the map in 2009, the design team revamped the dress and created a whole collection (bridesmaids dresses + groom’s shirt!) for 2014. For this latest 2020 update, hear from Sally and the design team on their inspiration!

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

Vaulter Magazine recently reposted an image that prominently featured a confederate flag. It was offensive, divisive, and absolutely unacceptable to post or share. So I took to Instagram and voiced my opinion. As members and leaders we have an obligation to stand up for what is right. So I did. Simple, right? They take the post down, apologize, and we all move on. But that’s not what happened.
