Love these tights
I have two pairs of these: one in size 8 and one in size 10. I bought the size 8 a year ago at a local running store and really liked them, so I decided to see if Oiselle still carried the style. They both fit really well; the size 8 is a little more compressive, but I must fall in between the two sizes, since they both are comfortable. My legs are a little short apparently, so the tights hook over my heels, which I don't mind. I love the midnight color and design...and am really tempted to buy more.
- Light compression, not-see through, comfortable, zip pocket, good quality
- a little long in the legs
Love them except the length
I just took these guys out for their first run and I love the weight of them - lightweight but a little warmer than typical spandex. They don't droop and I love the zip pocket, and they really look great! The only thing is that I wish they were longer - I'm 5'8" and wearing a small, and compared to the model in the photo, they stop 2-3 inches higher on my leg... I still love these much more than I dislike the length, but Oiselle, which options do you recommend for us longer ladies?
lovely except for mesh
These tights are great in many ways. I'm 5'3" and 100 lbs, and the fit is perfect. The fleece fabric is warm, and overall they're very stylish, but the mesh panels are bothersome and scratchy. I took the tights on a short test run and felt distracted by the mesh behind the knees. Not sure if it will go away with a few washes.

fabulous except the mesh
As someone who runs and x-c skis through a very Northern (like northern Canadian) winter, I am constantly observing how clothing manufacturers succeed and fail in making practical cold-weather clothing. These tights are really really great for a lot of reasons — I love the fit, I love the fabric. I used my old pair of Lesley tights for all sorts of winter and cooler weather sports and occasions. Those tights were just better designed re. the mesh inserts. The mesh was thicker and the portions of the pants covered by it minimal. With these, the first time I wore them, I wore another pair of thermal tights over top and the back of my legs were freezing. The rest of me was fine. Designers need to realize that you can't combine fabrics that are too disparate in insulative value. The earlier Lesley tights did this better (thicker mesh, less use of it) and the newer ones do not (thinner mesh, too much of it). I am in love with everything else about them, though. Looking forward to the next iteration.
best oiselle purchase!
love these running tights! they are stylish (i've gotten so many compliments), they are extremely warm for outdoor runs, and fit well/don't fall down. The added drawstring is really nice and i love the fleece lining. I haven't taken them off! Only thing is that the back zipper is too small for a phone but will fit keys or gels.
