I’m Rebecca; a middle distance runner, first year medical student at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Indianapolis and starting my first season as part of Oiselle’s Haute Volée. This fall has been all about finding my point of tensegrity, mentally and physically. In August I joined the Haute Volée, migrated to Indy and began school and training.
The impending offseason and holidays present an interesting challenge: Our bodies crave rest, yet end-of-year happenings require us to be “on.” The solution? Slow things down in your head. Taking a few minutes daily to meditate will help to “reset” your nervous system and facilitate some well-deserved healing, especially after your fall training.
