What is your favorite quote that guides, inspires, or embodies your training/jumping/life?
“Somewhere behind the athlete you’ve become, the hours of practice, and the coaches who have pushed you, is a little girl who fell in love with the game and never looked back…jump for her."

I like this quote because it reminds why I do this. When things get hard, tiring, or maybe I just don’t feel like putting my body through it anymore, I remember why I started, and who I’m doing it for.

What was your favorite sport in middle school?
My favorite sport in Jr high and all through high school was basketball. I love the game, the adrenaline, the crowd, stuffing shots, sinking threes, beating the boys at the park. Every childhood memory I have of basketball is great.

Tell us about the last place you traveled to: The last place I traveled to was Detroit for one of my good friend's birthdays. Along with the birthday festivities we went to the African Festival, which was a great experience with music, art, dancing, and wonderful clothing.

What alternative career do you fantasize about?
I currently work as a cook at 4.5 star hotel in downtown Chicago. This experience has been so new for me and I do almost everything wrong but I’m learning every day. I love it! I am also currently working on a book that is slowly but surely coming along quite well. It has me very excited!

What is your superpower?
My superpower is definitely eating. “If it's on a plate, I'll eat it straight”, ...nah I don’t like that one. “If it’s been cooked, it’s in my nook nook”, no that was worse… Hey I didn’t say my ‘on the fly’ poems were good. ;)

Tell us one of your dreams.
I dream that I’ll be able to continue to travel the world and meet amazing people. To use the gifts I’ve been blessed with to make an impact on any life I can, to inspire them to be exactly who they are. That at least one young woman will one day find joy, laughter, and acceptance through my writing.
